I opened my eyes slowly, where was I? Suddenly the events of last night came flooding back to my mind. I had spent all night in this place with my new friend. I shivered and could see my breath, had I really slept out here? Standing up I looked around for any sign of the white cat, she was gone.
peering out of the bushed I noticed the snow had melted slightly. The once beautiful flowers had began to shrivel. winter was here. but somehow the flowers inside had survived and were as lively as ever.
Oh no..
Today is a school day! I rushed home sad about the cat leaving me this way but I had to get home. when I arrived I slammed open the door and tried to run up the stairs as fast as possible but my sister stood there, blocking the way. "where were you all night" she said putting her hand on her hip. "it doesn't matter, let me upstairs" I hissed back. The next thing I knew she was yelling for father. He stormed in and grabbed me by the hair pulling me off the stairs, and hitting me multiple times. I could see my sisters almost apologetic look at what she had caused.
By the time I got home off of the bus I couldn't even remember the events of today. like usual I went strait to the meadow. As soon as I got there I looked around searching for my friend, she wasn't there. I stayed by the creek doing my homework, waiting for her to possibly come back. She didn't show up at all that evening. getting home I looked in the mirror my lip had a crack in it and I had bruises all over my face I guess I would just have to continue wearing my hood up.
For The whole next week I avoided my family and I hadn't seen my cat again and I began to wonder if maybe I had imagined her. Yeah maybe that was it? But I knew deep down it wasn't true and she was real.
