Austin and I froze.
This can't actually be happening right now...
"No way, I cannot be partners with her." Austin said with tightening his fists. Okay ouch... not that I want to be partners with him either.
"Austin, watch your tone" The teachers says making sure I'm not offended but for once I was on his side.
"Bu-" I got cut off.
"No, There is nothing you can do about this. You both came really late to class, and these are your consequences" The teacher says folding her arms.
Austin hit his fist on the teachers table and stomped to my seat.
"I-I'm sorry for being late to class" I told the teacher and walked to sit beside Austin. I already know I'm going to be doing all the work in this project. I slowly took a seat, scared at how mad he was. It's his fault for taking me to his house.
"This is all your fault" He says letting a huff of air out. So typical of him to just blame everything on me.
"If you were watching where you were walking then I wouldn't have to take your dumb ass back to my place. And you took long enough in the bathroom" He says turning his body so that he is facing mine.
"Well you didn't have to take me to your place" I say pulling up the courage. He clenches his jaw and squints his eyes at me. He puts his elbows just above his knees and holds both hands together with crossed fingers.
"Don't even fucking say that. I saved your life, if it wasn't for me you'd probably be in the hospital so, you should just keep your little mouth shut yeah?" He says. His voice is low so one can over hear but still has the same harshness. I know he did save me from getting in to an accident but I wouldn't even have been in that situation if it weren't for him. I however just roll my eyes not wanting to argue about it anymore.
He grabs my wrist slightly pulling me closer to him. "How many times have I told you, don't roll your eyes at me?" He whispers with slightly squinted eyes.
"Okay... I'm sorry" I say trying to get out of his grip. Instead he just squeezes it tighter not once looking away from me. I look around making sure no one is looking at us while trying to pry his fingers off. He shakes his head and lets go as the bell rings.
"Do the research and then after we can do the poster together" Austin says walking away from me. I knew it. I have to do all the work.
