Lola's POV

"Where are you going?" Brian mumbled as I sat on the edge of the bed.

"I'm getting up."

"It's early, lay back down." He mumbled, holding his arm's out.

I sat there glaring at him. "Seriously?"

He groaned, rolling onto his back. "What now Lola, what did I do now?"

"The way you virtually kicked Matt and Alex out of the house." I was still pissed at him for that. Last night when we'd gone to bed I'd pretended to fall straight asleep, only I hadn't, I laid there fuming over what he'd said.

"Stop being a drama queen Lola." He snapped. "I did not kick them out, I just asked how long they were staying."

"Yeah." I snapped back. "In a tone that insinuated you wanted them gone."

"Yeah well you didn't have to lay here last night and listen to them having sex."

"Now who's being a drama queen." I snapped walking out of the bedroom although I think he was right, there were some noises coming from their room but I preferred to think they were just talking rather than having sex.

I headed out into the kitchen to make a coffee and I noticed the back door was open. I thought I would be the only one awake at this hour but of course Alex was sitting out the back reading the newspaper, I'd forgotten she was an early bird.

"Morning." I said, grabbing my coffee and sitting across from her.

"Morning Lola." She said smiling and it made me happy to see her glowing. As soon as I had gotten to Sarah's yesterday I knew her and Matt had made up, I could just tell by the glow of her face, he made her happy.

"How did you sleep?" I asked her, taking a sip of my coffee.

"Like a log." She smiled, turning back to her paper.

"Matt still sleeping?"

"Still snoring." She laughed, turning the page.

I stopped and looked, her finger had caught my eye. There was a ring on it, a beautiful ring

"Alex." I said. "What is that?"

"What?" She asked looking at me.

"That." I said pointing to her finger.

I watched as her face lit up and then she burst into tears. "Matt." She cried.

"Matt what, oh my god Alex, did he propose?" I asked her, hugging her. God I hoped he did, they belonged together.

She nodded. "Yes." She snivelled. "He asked me last night. I thought he was joking but he was serious."

I laughed. "Trust you to think he was joking. I presume you said yes?"

"Of course I said yes."

"Now we get to organise your wedding." I gushed and I was excited about that, I'd always wanted to organise a wedding, well besides mine. "When are you getting married, did you set a date?"

"Not yet Lola." She laughed, wiping her face. "It only just happened."

"I know, but it pay's to be organised."

"I only want a small wedding." She told me.

Of course she only wanted a small wedding, this was Alex. But damn, I was so excited, almost as excited as when Brian and I got engaged, Brian the douchebag, speaking of which, chose that moment to walk out the door.

He was clutching a coffee and walked over, kissing the top of my head before sitting down.

"What are you ladies up to?" He asked.

I looked at him and I couldn't help it, I was bursting with happiness. "Alex and Matt got engaged."

"Wait, what?" He said looking at Alex and she nodded, smiling shyly.

"Yes." She said softly. "He asked me last night."

Brian stood up. "Well fuck." He said turning and heading back inside.

I was about to abuse him for being so rude when he stepped inside the door and screamed at the top of his lungs. "MATT YOU SLY DOG, GET OUT HERE."

I looked at Alex and raised my eyebrow's as we heard a thump from inside.

"What, what the fuck?" Matt mumbled and my guess was Brian had woken him from a sound sleep.

"Do you have something you'd like to share with Lola and I?" Brian said and I watched as Matt walked out the back, scratching his head.

I watched Alex smile shyly at him and I shook my head. They were just so awkward and cute together, they were a match made in heaven.

"I'm getting married?" He said, although he said it in a way that it sounded like a question.

"Yes you fucking idiot." Brian said slapping him on the back and I watched as Matt winced. "Were you going to tell me?"

Matt shrugged. "Well yeah, after I'd woken up." He mumbled.

Alex stood up. "Sit down." She said to him softly. "I'll get you a coffee." And she headed inside while Matt came and sat down.

Brian walked over and sat next to me, smiling. "Seriously though, congratulations, I would have killed you if you didn't marry that girl."

Matt smiled, nodding. "Yeah thanks. I though some people might give us some shit because we haven't been together for that long." He shrugged. "But she's the one, she's the person I want to spend the rest of my life with."

"Yep." Brian said, slipping his arm around my shoulder. "When you find a girl like that you've got to keep her." And I rested my head on his shoulder, he could be so sweet when he wanted to.

"I know." Matt said watching Alex walk back out. She put a coffee down in front of him, sitting down.

He leant over, kissing her cheek. "Can we go soon?" He murmured to her.

She raised her eyebrow's, glancing at me. "Why?"

"Because at our house." He said and I watched Alex blush happily at him calling it our house. "I can sleep in and not be disturbed."

"It was important." Brian told him.

"Yes." Alex said, grabbing hold of his hand. "After breakfast we can go home." And she leant forward so he could kiss her.

"Yeah breakfast." Brian said, his eye's lighting up. "You're cooking right Alex?"

"Of course." She smiled, standing up.

I stood up too.

"Where are you going?" Brian asked me.

"To help."

"No Lola." He mumbled. "Please don't."
