I step into studio C. Greeting our ballet director Miss Alyson. As I begin my barre excersise all I can think about is my history assignment, it's due tomorrow and I'm not done. I don't leave the studio until 10:00 tonight, looks like tonight's going to be another late night.
"Brynn you've been doing these excersises longer than everyone, those should be sharper! Your not Junior Miss National Soloist for nothing!" Miss Alyson snaps.
Junior miss national soloist how could I forget, everytime I mess up a step, "Your junior miss National Soloist, you shouldn't be messing that step!"
I don't know what's wrong with me, lately I've just been so "out of it" as my friends say. After a long hour of ballet I head into the change room to change for jazz. All my dance friends are leaving now and I've still got another hour ahead of me! You see the thing is, I compete with both the junior team and the inter/senior team. Sometimes it's super fun, but other times it super annoying! I don't really have any friends on the senior team, only Ashtyn. We've been friends for a long time and I trust her with my life!
Ash and I go into studio A, where the rest of the senior team including my 15 year old sister Addison is waiting for us. Bianca absolutely hates dancing with me, and complains all the time!
As we run through our competition dance we get to the part where myself, Ashtyn, and 4 other senior team members do our standing back tucks, as Addy runs past me she slightly pushes me so I completely fail my back tuck. Addy gives me a smirk and laughs about it with her friends as our teacher Miss Kelsey stops the music
As our class finishes Miss Kesley makes a special announcement that she will be creating a select ensemble that we will audition for,
I've got my eye on the prize, and so does my sister
