My Bulletproof Heart (Gerard Way X Reader)

Chapter Two: Bulletproof Heart

"Wait, what?" Devin says in complete shock. 

"Yeah we've been working on this for a while. We had to be super secret about it though because we didn't want to spoil the surprise. I will admit it was hard but it payed off. I am surprised myself that nothing got leaked. I guess I expected at least some news to get out." Gerard says.

"Whoa cool. I bet all the fans are already super excited for this. Are you guys ready to go on tour once again?"

"Yes. I miss being on tour!" Frank says.

"Hell yeah!" Says Gerard.

"I can't wait to actually go on tour!" I say.

"Well (Y/N) are you sure?" Frank snickers after he says that.

"It was only one time I threw up because of nerves! One time! So yeah. You bet your ass I am ready." 

"Well when will the tour start?" Devin asks.

"Next year in February." Ray answers.

"So about nine months from now. Now I am a huge fan of your work. Do you think any of your other fans would be able to wait that long?" Devin asks.

"I hope so. But I know I can't wait. This is going to be a huge experience for me. I just hope I don't loose my voice. Again." I say.

"Now I know that you've been on tour with the boys before so tell me (Y/N), what was it like being on tour with them." Devin asks me.

"Well... The first few times it was really nerve wrecking but I soon got used to 

 That was one painful morning in the hospital. long story short, the morning after the show Gerard had to take me to the hospital.

 "But that was only once so I don't think it will happen again. I got a little too excited." I laugh at that fact and I can hear a few of the boys behind me snickering. "And the rest of the time when I wasn't on stage I was watching them do their thing. Its going to be cool though. I can't wait."

"That's cool. Now do you have any concerns about going on tour?" He asks me.

"Well obviously I do but... Nothing bad should happen while I'm gone. And if anything does... well I mean its not likely to happen but in case something happens I'll have a plan." I say.

"Good for you guys. Now I know that you guys want to preform right?" Devin asks.

"You bet you ass we are." Says Ray.

"Good well... Lets get on with it." Says Devin.

We were given twenty minutes to get ready. 

Fall Out Boy went on after us and we had twenty minutes before we went live. Shit. 

Somebody escorted us to a dressing room.

"So we have twenty minutes. (Y/N) you get first choice on guitar." Frank says.

I choose a sleek (F/C) guitar. This is a beautiful guitar. The most beautiful guitar I have ever seen.

"I think I'll use this one." I say as I pick up the guitar. Gerard must see the smile on my face because he comes and hugs me from behind and whispers in my ear: "I'll see what I can do to let you keep it."

"Thank you." I whisper back.

"No problem."

I lean my head on Gerards shoulder and wonder why they didn't take this time to choose a song to play. 

"Hey you two lovebirds!" Mikey says making me jump. "Come on we're on in two minutes."

"Already?"

"Yeah. You were staring at that guitar the whole time."

Can you really blame me though?

After that we were in a different studio that would be specifically for live streaming music, I was even more eager to get out. After a final countdown the intro to bulletproof heart started to play. The reason I chose this song is because after all this time... All of the songs by MCR have ever listened to... This one has been my favorite. And the song starts.

"Gravity... Don't mean too much to me... I'm who I've got to be... These pigs are after me after you... Run away... Like it was yesterday... And we could run away... If we could run away, run away from here!

"And after that the words come so naturally I don't even have to think about them.

"I got a bulletproof heart. You've got a hallow point smile. Me and Your runaway scars got a photograph dream on the getaway mile. 

"Lets blow a hole in this town! And do our talking with a lazer beam! 

Coming out of this place in a bullets embrace then we'll do it again! How can they say, Jenny could you come back home?" And then Gerard starts to sing too.

"Cuz everybody knows you don't ever wanna come back, let me be the one to save you! Gravity don't mean too much to me! I'm who I've got to be! 

"These pigs are after me, after you! Run away, like it was yesterday! And we can run away, Run away from here!" 

And after that I let Gerard take over focusing mainly on my guitar.

Once the song is about to end, I start singing again.

"And we con run away, Run away from here!"

After the show we are escorted back into the dressing room and the first thing I do is grab a small bottle of water. I sit next to Gerard and he puts his arm around me.

"You were great out there (Y/N)." He says

"Thanks. But you were better." I say back.

"No way." He assures me. "You were way better. No pun intended."

I laugh at this. 

This is why I love you Gerard. You make me laugh when I need it most. 

"I love you." I manage to say.

"I love you too (Y/N). You have no Idea."
