Greg's Point Of View:

"Greg, Greg."

I mumbled, and turned away from the person who was shaking me.

I sat up quickly, hitting heads with Sarah in the process. We clutched our heads in pain.

"Ouch," I said, staring at Sarah.

"About time you woke up," Sarah said, removing her hands. "Beatrice has been asking for you."

"You know Beatrice?" I asked, removing my hands.

Sarah nodded. "She's my eldest sister."

"Does that mean.."

"Yes. Garret was also her brother."

I looked around for Beatrice. The people that were still in here were up and moving around.

"Where's Beatrice?" I asked Sarah.

"Behind you."

I turned around to face a smiling Beatrice.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked

"She has found a way to escape here," Sarah said, standing up. She helped me stand up. "But once you do, you must go home."

"Without Wirt?" I asked.

"I'm afraid so," Beatrice said, her smile vanishing. "How will you explain to your parents the giant antlers that grew out of Wirt's head?"

"There must be a way to save him from The Beast," I protested.

Beatrice shook her head. "There is no way."

I looked down, and Sarah grabbed my hand. I looked up at her.

"Greg, you are the only one who can go home and be safe there," Sarah said. "Let Beatrice take you to your home."

"Beatrice, Sarah, come with me," I said.

Sarah and Beatrice looked taken aback.

"Greg..." Sarah started.

"We don't know how your parents will react to that," Beatrice said. "We will walk you to your house. But we will have to come back. We are going to need to figure out a way to keep The Beast and...Wirt...away from The Unknown."

I nodded, realizing that I had to leave my brother behind in order to be safe. Sarah's hand clutched my hand tighter.

"What's the plan?" I asked Beatrice.

"Well-" Beatrice started.

She was interrupted by the door opening. The Beast stood in the doorway. His eyes surveyed everyone, then landed on us. He moved over to us, and grasped Beatrice's arm.

"Beatrice," he hissed.

Beatrice looked at him with terrified eyes.

"I will allow you a small meeting with Wirt," The Beast said. "But only a small one. Do not tell him that Gregory is here. You do not want to know what will happen to the boy-both boys-if you do tell him. Do I make myself clear?"

Beatrice nodded, and The Beast dragged her out into the snowstorm. Sarah threw her arms around me and cried.

"It's okay Sarah," I said, awkwardly patting her back. "Beatrice will be back."

But what if she doesn't come back?

I shook my head at that thought. No. She will come back. She will...
