The look of hurt and surprise quickly wore off and before my mother could talk again my father came in front of her.

"Alex I-"

I held up my hand. "Don't even waste your precious fucking breath!" Eyes wide from my use of obscenities I immediately regretted it but I was too pissed to care.

Payne was trying to hold back his hysterics but I'd deal with him after.

"Speaking of precious breaths I'm surprised you even have any. They said you were dead! Do you have any idea what I had to go through? Do you even care about what they did to me?!" I almost screamed but I knew better than to draw attention to us, despite how infuriated I was.

With a sudden angry look my father spoke again. His low rumble of a voice exactly how I remembered it. Despite the few grey hairs growing at the roots of his chocolate brown hair he hadn't aged a bit.
"What did he do to you?" He demanded but I waved him of with my hands.

"Don't even act like you care!" I spat back but the concern was obvious on his face.

"I'll kill him." He growled out and Payne rose his hand with a broad smile on his face.

"Already done."

I turned and faced him with the hardest glare I had but the smile on his face seemed to only grow wider. He looked gorgeous smiling but I wanted to punch him in his eye.

Turning back to my parents I aimed my glare at them.

"How could you?" I had to try my hardest not to let my words quiver. A lump was forming in my throat and I fought my hardest not to cry. "Do I mean nothing to you? How could you leave your only daughter in the hands of a disgusting Alpha. He's a man! Didn't you care what he could have done to a little unprotected girl?" I felt Payne stiffen in his seat and he turned to me, the smile was gone all left behind was murderous rage.

"No. He didn't." I assured him and I saw him physically relax. Turning back to my parents I said. "But that's the only thing he didn't do to me. Everything else... " I let the statement say for itself.

My mother unexpectedly burst into tears and tried to wipe them away. She was ruining her makeup. She looked nice in a pale blue dress and dad matched her in a blue dress shirt and slacks. How well they did without a care or second thought about what could have happened to their daughter.

"We had no choice!" She cried out and my father stood beside her trying to calm her. Staring at the two I couldn't bring myself to feel sorry for them. They chose this and now they had to pay the consequences.

"Your father and I got mated here, we were born and raised in this land. While I was pregnant with you we'd gone for a hike, he told me it'll help make you stronger if I did lots of excerise. What it did was induce my labor while we were passing by the Redmoon pack and the Alpha agreed to let me deliver you there. We wouldn't have made it back here in time." She paused crying and I stayed silent waiting for the complete explanation. "You were born prematurely and you were very small. You weren't supposed to live much longer. The price for using his hospitality turned out to be him keeping you until you died. He'd said there was no use for you since you would be weak and here," she waved motioning to around us, "weakness isn't brought up here, they'd kill you and get rid of the problem. We stayed with you as long as we could but people from our pack were searching for us thinking we'd gone rouge. When we'd returned back here to clarify everything we couldn't leave to come back to you and even if we could of, it wouldn't have made much sense since we'd have to leave again." As she continued to weep into my Father's shoulder he flashed me a sympathetic look.
