"Why are you doing all this?" I asked him as he cleaned my wound and the rest of the cuts.
I had finally been discharged and I was now living with Hunter. The wound and some cuts weren't healed yet and Hunter had been such a sweetheart, taking care of me and all.
Hunter stopped for a second and then looked at me. "I told you, you're mine, and you always take good care of the most valuable possessions. I know you're not an object, but you're still mine and I'll take care of you like you're my Queen." He said and continued cleaning up my wounds.
I just stared at Hunter. I never knew that the bad boy was like this. I was right, he once cared too much, and now he's caring too much again. I still hadn't told him anything about Tony. Of course, he asked me a million times about him, but I didn't know if I should tell him yet. Now I had to admit, that Tony actually does deserve the worst. What happened to me wasn't my fault. I am ashamed of Tony, because he let my parents down. They didn't raise him like that. Tony knew better, yet he chose this path.
"There is one thing though." Hunter pointed at me, removing his cigarette from his lips. I frowned at him.
"What is that?" I asked and he shot me his flat look, again.
"What happens in this house, stays in this house, except for the fact that you're mine." he said and I frowned deeper. He saw my confused expression and rolled his eyes. "Listen, you tell no one about me being 'soft' or about Blaze. Just remember that at home I'm all cute and cuddly, but out of the house, they might not know that I ever smiled." he said and continued cleaning the wound.
The cuts were cleaned already, and they stopped bleeding. I think that Hunter just fell asleep while sitting on the floor last night. It made my heart melt when I realized that he stood by my side the whole night, making sure I was all right. Hunter bandaged the wound and I wore his over-sized shirt again. I was happy that it was weekend now. I didn't have to face anyone and I don't think that I'm ready to either. I'm not sure if Hunter will allow me to go to school Monday though.
"Okay Mr. Bad Boy." I said and he glared at me, making me giggle.
He placed his hand on my thigh, looking at the cut Tony gave me yesterday. "This one is the deepest you have... After that stabbed one, of course." he placed his hand on it and I winced a bit. "Why did he do it?" Hunter looked at me, hoping that I would answer him.
I just stared at him. "He found out about you." I said after a short silence.
"What?" he raised his eyebrow.
"I was five when my Dad came home with Tony. Tony is seven years older than me. Before my father married my mother, he was with someone else and they had Tony. Since my parents their wedding was an arranged marriage to make their companies' profit go smoother, my Mom didn't mind Tony living with us. We always loved Tony as much as we could. My parents never saw any difference between Tony and I. They took care of us like we were two rare and priceless gems. Then one day, my mother passed away after the operation of her brain tumor failed. We were all devastated. Dad and Tony started to take extra care of me in case I went into depression. I would at least know that I had someone. But Dad was so busy taking care of Tony and I, that he forgot to take care of himself. He found out that he has blood cancer and after a few years, after I turned sixteen, my father passed away too." I looked at Hunter.
My eyes were already filled with tears. Hunter was speechless. He just stared at me as I stared at him. Hunter climbed onto the bed, sat next to me, and took my hand in his. I looked at him and continued. "After my father's death, Tony tried taking care of me, although I didn't really need it that much anymore. I was stable enough to handle this on my own. Days flew by, the companies fell into Tony's hands and he started taking care of them. Everything was going well, until that day..." I trailed off and I felt Hunter throw an arm over my shoulder. "I can remember everything clearly. I remember it like it happened yesterday." I sniffed and looked at Hunter. There was no use in avoiding eye contact now.
