I Can Only Go in One Direction

"There." Zayn handed each of them a bowl filled with colorful sour gummy worms. "Now can we please watch the movie?!" He begged, pushing both of them lightly to the living room.

"Sure." Ellie agreed, snatching a small handful of his popcorn and stuffing it in her mouth. Zayn gasped.

"Oh no you don't!" He grabbed a few of her sour gummy worms. This time she gasped. Then she narrowed her eyes.

"Zayn, I will make you pay for this." She muttered. "Under no circumstances are you to take my gummy worms!" She grabbed his whole dish of popcorn. Unfortunately, now both her hands were full and now she had nowhere to put them without the risk of them being taken by Zayn.

"Famous last words." Zayn grabbed her dish of gummy worms and pulled. She pulled back. He yanked. She nearly lost her grip.

"I know how to solve the fighting." Expertly Louis weaves in between the two, and takes the bowls of popcorn and gummy worms. Ellie, Zayn and Niall stared, dumbstruck at what had just happened. Then the three of them pursued Louis.

"MINE!" The three cried in unison, leaping desperately at the food like Kamikaze pilots.

Louis leaped out of the way, popcorn and gummy worms falling to the floor. Suddenly a voice called out, "Stop!"

The trio froze, Louis diving for cover. And Josh stepped out from his hiding place. "So this is what happens when no parents are at home?" He mused. Louis peered out from behind the couch and casually strolled out.

"Josh!" Ellie darted over to him and hugged him. "When did you get here?"

He smiled and hugged her back. "When you stole Zayn's dish of popcorn."

She stepped back, letting her cousin go. "He stole my sour gummy worms." She defended herself.

"What was that about two wrongs don't make a right?" He smirked, hopping over the spilled popcorn and gummy worms. "Zayn! How've you been?" He high-fived Zayn.

"Excellent! What about you?" Zayn asked.

"I've been great!" Josh said, beaming.

"Hey Josh, where's Lisa?" Ellie picked up the spilled popcorn and gummy worms, throwing them away.

"She's at home, but she'll be here in a half hour." Josh said.

"I invited them over to watch a movie with us." Niall said, running a hand through his hair.

Ellie smiled. "That was a good idea." Niall looked faintly relieved.

"Hey Niall, can I talk to you for a minute?" Josh asked. Niall nodded.

"Sure."
