Clove removes her hands from my head. She stares at me, and doesn't look away when she takes a step back.
I stand still and let her absorb the information. But after five minutes I begin to wonder if she lost the power of speech.
"Clove?" I say gently.
She holds up a finger to silence me.
"Are you lying now? Because if you are, it's not very nice of you", she says. "I may be stronger then most girls, but I do have feelings, you know".
She have tears in her eyes, but she's not crying, perhaps to prove what she just said.
Clove becomes quiet, and I don't know if I have permission to speak, but I do it anyway.
I take both of her hands in mine.
"Clove I'm not lying", I say. "Believe it or not, but I've actually never said that to anyone else before. And it also explains why I was jealous".
"So ... so you admit you were jealous?" Clove asks.
"Yeah..." I admit. "But only because I like you so much, that I can say I love you".
Clove is really quiet, but then she start to smile.
"You know", she says. "I love you too".
