Chapter 17: The King Finally Meets His Queen

Start from the beginning

We celebrate our twisted fate / We're the broken ones.”

They both certainly liked the twisted faith as being an immortal and Klaus felt like a broken one, but he didn't know that Caroline might be too.  ”We are the same.” He recalled saying to Caroline.

Got me spinning like a ballerina / Feeling gangsta every time I see ya /

You're the king and, baby, I'm the queen of / Disaster, disaster.

You got me spinning like a ballerina / You're the bad boy that I always dreamed of /

You're the king and, baby, I'm the queen of / Disaster, disaster.”

Klaus couldn't help not to imagine what would it be like if he had been the bad boy of her dreams.. He would have made her his queen in a heartbeat, if only she would have let him.

Ladies and gentlemen / For the very first time!

You got me spinning like a ballerina / Feeling gangsta every time I see ya /

You're the king and, baby, I'm the queen of / Disaster, disaster.

You got me spinning like a ballerina / You're the bad boy that I always dreamed of /

You're the king and I'm the beauty queen of / Disaster, disaster.”

”I never knew this part of her.” He thought and watched her mesmerized. He had even tuned out the fact that every male in that bar were lusting after her by the end of the song.

As Caroline finished her song, she received enormous applauses. It was like the whole bar had exploded.

”Thank YOU! Wow!” Marcel gave Caroline a flattering look but Klaus new that inside he was boiling for that Caroline beat him. ”Yo, bartender, her drinks are on me the rest of the night. So who's next?” Marcel got back to the hosting business.

Caroline smirked but let it to be without a merit. She looked around searching for Elena. ”She had probably headed to the desk.” Caroline reasoned by herself.

Caroline slowly proceeded to the desk. As she reached the desk, she was exhausted and couldn't see Elena anywhere.

”I knew you were quite a dancer, love, but I didn't know that you could sing like a siren too.”

Caroline turned to her left and saw him.

”Klaus!” She breathed. Suddenly she didn't know what to say to him. Ok, he liked her singing so obvious thing was to say thank you. Instead she pouted her cute little nose and smiled:

”Well there's so much more that you don't know about me, do you?”

Klaus smiled widely and nodded as an agreement. ”How come you happen to be, of all the places in the world, here in New Orleans? Not that I have anything against it.” He gave her a puppy face look.

Caroline was puzzled. She couldn't possibly admit the truth, not here, not like this. She cleared her throat and said:

”Actually, we're on a road trip. Me and Elena that is. Exploring the world, you see.”

"So you couldn't let me show it to you?" Klaus thought by himself but out loud he asked a hint of sarcasm in his voice. ”Ah, how is lovely Elena?”

”You can ask it from herself.” Caroline snappep back at him a little and nodded towards Elena, who had arrived near by.

”Nice to see you too Elena,” Klaus said glibly but the look in his eyes was not so warm. ”So you girls left the chaps behind, right? I can't imagine how they have been able to let you to leave from their sides.

Klaus obviously pointed to Tyler and Stefan and/or Damon. Caroline felt little unconfortable about the matter of speaking so she looked for Elena's help at changing the subject.

”They must be desperate by now.” Elena blurted out. ”Actually, is your brother in town as well. I would like to meet him, if it's possible.”

Klaus glanced the doppelgänger for a moment. He was in a good mood since Caroline was there, in his city, radiating her light over him.

”That can be arranged, sweetheart.” Klaus annouced finally. ”I'll call him as soon as we get out from this overcrowded rat hole and make an agreement that we meet at my place. Don't worry, it won't be far away.” He smirked.
