Finding out?

Katie's POV

I woke up to the sound of a screaming girl next door, which pissed me off something shocking as this happened every morning at the same time 6:02am. I really didn't like the sound of screaming kids or screaming anything... But my music, I have listened to screamo music for almost 6 years now and surprisingly I've only been told that I'm 'satanic' 274 times in the 6 years.

After I checked my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook I finally dragged myself out of bed, walking straight over to my closet picking out a black Misfits singlet, black ripped skinny jeans and my black and white converse out.
I put my music on and got into the shower as I always do in the morning, I then got dressed and did my hair slightly poofy as usual.

I then adventured down stairs to find no one in the kitchen... Then I heard my 'mum' call my name, I ran to where I heard her voice from... Because normally if I don't get to her quickly I get yelled at... But this time she was sitting there with my dad.
She gestured for me to sit next to her and said "we have something to tell you, darling" I looked at then confused and quietly asked "what is it?" They said "we have been meaning to tell you this for a while... Katie your adopted" I smiled and said "um I kinda thought I was but never thought anything of it but thanks for telling me!" They looked so confused at this point... And my dad said "it doesn't bother you that your adopted?" "No not really" I said shrugging it off. Then my mother piped up and said "we'll you better get going you don't want to be late for your first day at the new school do you?" I nodded as if to say no I don't then walked out of the house to the bus stop down the road.

*at the bus stop*

I saw like 2-3 people at the bus stop, one of the guys out of the 2 came up to me and said "hey you must be new around here my name is Shawn, what's your name?", I smiled and said "yea I am and nice to meet you I'm Katie." Then the guy said "come sit over here with me, the bus will be here soon." I followed after him and sat beside him as he says "This Maybe a bit weird cause you only just met me but your really pretty" I looked to the ground and blushed "thanks, your cute!" He then blushed as well.
