The Avengers Babysit Loki?!

Meet The Kid

It's been hours, but Tony and Bruce finally come out of the lab. Everyone looks up.

"Did you figure out what was wrong with him?" Natasha asks.

"No." Tony says. "But we're close."

"We just wanted to tell all of you to go on to bed. It will be a while before we have any news." Bruce says.

"Yeah uh Loki, you'll sleep in Thor's room." Tony says.

"What?" Loki asks.

"What? There's a couch in there. And we do not trust you what soever so we want you to be in you brothers sights at all times." Tony says. Loki just looks at him.

"Oh come on brother. It will be just like when we were children." Thor says.

"Oh what happened when you were kids?" Natasha asks.

"Thor I beg of you, don't-" Loki starts, but it's too late.

"When we were children, Loki would have horrid nightmares. Almost every night." Thor says.

"Thor please." Loki begs, it doesn't work.

"He would come into my room, crying his head off. And he would sleep there for the rest of the night." Thor says. Loki puts his head in his hands.

"They didn't need to know that Thor." Loki says.

"Aww but I thought it was cute." Natasha teases. Loki turns red with embarrassment.

"Come along brother, I will show you to my sleeping chambers." Thor says throwing an arm around Loki. Loki jerks away.

"Don't touch me." Loki says, still embarrassed.

They walk to Thor's room. Thor walks to his bed and Loki walks to the couch.

"Goodnight, sleep well brother." Thor says.

"Whatever Thor." Loki says. He looks around a little then sighs. "Goodnight, brother."

The Next Day

Thor wakes up. He's not really a morning person so he just slowly sits up. Then sits there for a while. He looks over at the couch where Loki slept, but he doesn't see him.

"Loki? Loki!" Thor says, he stands up and starts to walk out of his room.

"I'm right here."

Thor turns around to see Loki standing beside the couch. But not normal Loki. This Loki is a five year old boy. Thor stares at him.

"Tony!" Thor yells. Tony walks into Thor's room, eating a bowl of cereal. Thor looks at him. "What did you do to my brother?!"

"OK first off I didn't do this. Second, did you not listen to anything he said yesterday? He said that he was aging backwards." Tony says then takes another bite of cereal.

"He said this would not happen until the end of the week." Thor says.

"Well clearly his calculations were off." Tony says then leaves the room. Thor looks back at Loki.

"Um let's go get some breakfast." Thor says. "Maybe the green man will take this seriously."

Thor and Loki walk out of Thor's room and to the kitchen. Everyone is in there. Loki kinda holds back and gets behind Thor. He will be able to remember everything that happens when and if he turns back to normal, but as of right now he really is five years old, and shy. Thor can't help but to smile at Loki, remembering their childhood. Everyone looks up.

"Well at least he's no longer a threat. I mean if he gives us any trouble, we can just pick him up and take him to Thor." Steve says.

"He's so small." Clint says.

"He's five Clint, what did you expect?" Natasha says. "Why's he hiding?"

"Come on Loki, you remember them don't you? Well I guess you are five. Um, they don't bite, come on." Thor says. Loki steps out from behind him. Natasha walks over to him.

"You know he's actually kinda cute." She says as she ruffles his hair.

"Don't touch me." Loki says.

"Be nice Loki." Thor says. Loki looks up at him, then looks down at the ground.

"Aww come on Thor, he was fine. You didn't have to get onto him." Natasha says. Loki smiles at her.

"I like her." Loki says.

Tony and Bruce walk into the kitchen. Tony no longer has a bowl of cereal, he has a plate of pancakes.

"You just had cereal, how are you still hungry and how did you get that?" Clint asks.

"I have my ways." Tony says.

"What are you talking abou-" Clint starts.

"You don't wanna know." Bruce says.

"I'll take your word for it then." Clint says.

"Well." Tony interrupts. "I see you have all met the kid."

"Um yeah, so have you figured out how to get him back to normal?" Steve asks.

"Well no. But I will." Tony says.

"In other words, he will put it of for as long as he can and make me do most of the work." Bruce says.

"That's not true." Tony defends himself. "OK well maybe about 12% accurate."

"Uh huh." Bruce says rolling his eyes.

"So do you want something for breakfast pipsqueak?" Tony asks.

"I'm not a pipsqueak." Loki says. "Don't call me that."

"Um you're five and I am bigger than you. I can call you whatever I want." Tony says.

"Do not speak to him like that." Thor says, angry. Tony raises his hands in surrender.

"Easy there hammer time. I didn't mean anything by it." Tony says. He turns around and starts to rummage through the fridge. Loki looks up at Thor.

"I don't like him." Loki says. Thor does all he can not to smile.

"He'll grow on you." Thor says. Loki shrugs.

"Here." Tony says as he places a plate of waffles on the table. Loki walks over and sits down in a chair.

"Is he trying to poison me Thor?" Loki asks. Thor laughs.

"No, it's fine Loki. You can eat it." Thor says. Loki takes a bite, then he looks up at Tony.

"You can't cook very well can you?" Loki says to Tony. Everyone starts to laugh, except Tony. Loki smiles, happy that he made people laugh.

"Loki." Thor says.

"What? They thought it was funny." Loki says.

"Loki, apologize." Thor says.

"What why?" Loki asks.

"Apologize now." Thor says. Loki grumbles to himself then looks up.

"I'm sorry." Loki says.

"I'm a good cook ask anyone." Tony says.

"Last time he cooked dinner it tasted like metal." Natasha says.

"He burnt my pop tarts trying to cook them with his metal suit." Thor says.

"He cooked a turkey and it exploded." Clint says.

"He tried to cook rice and he cooked so much the entire kitchen was covered." Bruce says.

"He tried to make a red velvet cake and it melted when he took it out of the oven." Steve says.

"OK he gets it!" Tony says. Loki is laughing his head off.

Tony stands there as everyone laughs at him.

"I'm not that bad." He mumbles.
