Hey everyone. This is Annabeth Chase, but I assume most everyone knows this already. Today is finally the big day. No no. Not THAT big day. Today me and Percy are moving into Camp Jupiter and we're going to start a life together. I'm really happy, but also a little sad. We are starting a new life, but also leaving one behind. Camp Half-Blood has been my home for so long now, just the idea of leaving seems preposterous. I've experienced so many adventures here and met so many friends, but I know that it's for the greater good. Besides, it's not like we're leaving forever. 'I will come back.' I've promised myself. I walk into the Athena cabin to see my half brothers and sisters waiting for my arrival. Most of them have only been here for a few years, but some have been here ever since I arrived at Camp Half-Blood. I start to tear up a little and give them one last hug. Afterwards they all leave the room to give me some space. I start to pack up my stuff and shove them into a duffel bag. I find my bead necklace on my pillow and look at all the pictures carved into each bead. I study the bead with Thalia's Pine Tree. Gods, that felt like such a long time ago. I move up the line of beads until I lay my eyes on the engraving of a green trident. I lay my thumb on it. That was my first real quest. But so much more importantly: when I first met Percy Jackson. I reach for my blue Yankees cap on my dresser, but find it missing. I start to panic until I feel a breeze behind me. I turn around and smirk. "Give it back, Seaweed Brain." I say sarcastically. Suddenly I am looking at Percy, just a foot away from me. He hands me my cap and grins. "You ready to do this, Wise Girl?" He says. "Yes, Seaweed Brain," I reply confidently, and I am. I am ready. We walk outside, hand-in-hand to find Chiron, Mr. D, Grover, Rachel all the campers, satyrs and nymphs waiting for us on top of Half-Blood Hill. Mr. D is drumming his fingers impatiently, but Chiron looks at us with such a proud smile, it makes even me blush. Everyone else smiles, even Clarisse puts on a little smirk. We say goodbye to everyone, and when I mean everyone, I mean everyone individually. So many who have been through everything with us, it just seems like we should give everyone a proper goodbye. Clarisse tells me and Percy we are gross, Grover gives us a big hug and tells us to keep in touch. Even Mr. D calls Percy by his real name, but when we accuse him of it, he says he did nothing of the sort. Chiron gives us a long speech. He then turns to us and says a last goodbye. We start to walk away and I hear the cheers of the campers behind us. I wave at them one last time and they wave back. Percy's mom gave us a basket of blue food and hugged both of us. Crossing the borders feels so different. But I put on a brave face as we walk towards the boat. Percy controls the waves, so we have a very calm and relaxing sail towards Camp Jupiter. We talk about all the things we plan to do. What our dream house will look like. What we want to study in collage. It feels good. I've always felt comfortable around Percy, so I ask him the one thing I've been wondering for a while now. "How about our kids' names?" The thought dawns on Percy and he gives a puzzling frown. For a minute I thought I took it too far, but then he smiles at me with that playful little smirk. "What about Percy Jr.?" He says and I laugh and punch him in the shoulder. "Or Annabeth the III?" I joke and he laughs.
After what seems only a few hours, we finally reach New Rome. We dock our small boat and walk up the ancient marble pathway. Both times we had come to New Rome... well, let's just say they were under other circumstances. We were either running for our lives or trying to save the world. But this time it was different. We walked up the concrete pathway, hand in hand. It was like a dream come true. Us. Alone. And we weren't in a forever dilemma. No torture. No life choices that could ruin you and the people you love. The scenery is so beautiful, it looks like somewhere we'd belong. We turn the corner, heading straight into camp. Waiting at the gates is someone I have been really hoping to see. Reyna stares at us with a happy smile. She looks at us like we're her own and we'd just taken a big milestone. I hug her, while Percy vigerously shakes her hand. "Welcome." She says in a soothing voice.
Right then I just knew: this was going to be a start of a great future together.

Awww! Cute! *Cues in dramatic music* Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed the first one shot. It was a fun one to write, knowing that Percabeth is still a thing. Is it just me, or do most one shots seem to start out with a Percabeth fanfic? Idk. Alright then! Again thanks for reading, and stay tuned for the next chapter of this One Shot story. See ya!
