Yes. You know that feeling when you can't wait to find out who's calling you, but in the back of your head you know you want it to be that one person. Yeah, that's what I'm feeling right now.
I picked up the ringing phone after clicking the button to answer the call.
"Hi Brinelle, good morning!"
"Morning to you too, Luke. You seem like you're in a good mood...."
"I am,"
"May I ask why?"
"Because I get to see you and talk to you and be with you and not make you lonely and make your day and annoy you every single second of the day, and you know what?"
"What?"
"That's what true friends are for,"
"Well, Luke, you are so right! Thank you for being such a great friend,"
"Anytime, and thank you for being a great friend too. Can you believe we just met yesterday?"
"No, not really, I'm just glad we did,"
"Same and so, I guess I'm not the only one who wakes up early for school?"
"No sir, you're not, I hate rushing,"
"Yeah, me too, I can't stand it,"
"Well, what time did you wake up this morning?"
"Well, an hour and a half before the bus comes, so 5:00ish I guess,"
"Me too, I feel ya"
"Well, did you have a good dream last night?"
"Yeah, I had one and someone was in it. Someone who makes me feel happy, someone who I just met yesterday on our first day of sophomore year,"
"Well, Miss Brinelle. I wonder who that could be."
"I have no idea...."
"Well, I don't want to be ruining or distracting your morning. I just wanted to say hi and hope to see you on the bus. Oh, make sure to save a seat for me next to you, Okay?"
"Okay. No problem. And by the way, Luke, you can call anytime and I'll never mind. And by the way you didn't ruin my morning, you made it better,"
"Well, you made mine too, now I know I'll have a great whole day today,"
"I know we will, see you later."
"See you," I really didn't want to hang up. But I eventually did knowing that I was going to see Luke in like half an hour or so.
I had another feeling when you know you don't want to hang up but you just know its right in some way because either way, on the phone or not, you'll still be thinking about that one person. Yep. That's exactly what's going on.
