Don't Go!

Introduction

My name is Lydia, I'm 17 years old and I'm not your 'typical' teenage girl. I was born in Serbia, and lived there until my parents decided to move to the United States when I was 7. We moved to the state of Minnesota, or better known as the land of 10,000 lakes.  Unfortunately, a year after my parents were in a tragic car accident, killing them and my baby brother. I was put into an orphanage home, waiting for a new family to come and adopt me, but that never happened. Their reasons, "She's just too emotionally scarred", "She's too dark and depressing", "She hardly speaks", "I don't think she'd make a great role model for our younger son." I didn't want a 'new' family at first but as time went on....I just wanted to be accepted and loved like I used to be. Rejection after rejection, cut after cut, I was losing my battle to depression. I turned to music, that was my escape from the pain and sorrow of my past and present. I fell in love with the band Bring Me The Horizon, but even more in love with the singer Oliver Sykes. I wasn't one of those super hyped up fan girls, I was more like a distant admirer. He was my idol, who saved me from the depths of my despair.
