[29] The Most Outrageous Scheme in Hogwarts

 

            I ran down the corridors as I quickly ran behind one of the pillars as I watched an incoming group of Gryffindors make their way down to the Great Hall where they would all be meeting in order to go to Hogsmeade, I immediately spotted James in the group as he ran over to where I was hiding. “James, did Professor McGonagall ask or anything about Teddy?”

“No, well I mean she wanted to know why he wasn’t coming. I just told her that he was feeling under the weather and decided to stay back.” He said quickly as I nodded, “Here you might need this later on.” James said as he quickly took out the Invisibility cloak from behind and handed it to me, “I’m bloody well upset that I won’t be able to skip Hogsmeade for an adventure like this. Do you know how brilliant a scheme like this if it’s pulled off perfectly?”

I sighed, “Sorry James, but we need someone from our group to stay behind, and since Scorpius and Teddy already practically told me they were going to come whether I liked it or not, I don’t have a choice. Anyways, you’ll get to spend the day with McKenzie.”

“Yeah… As bloody you. I won’t be able to pull any of my moves on her because if I do, people are going to think I have a thing for my cousin!” James yelled exasperatedly as I stifled a laugh.

“Well…. Just imagine it as McKenzie’s face and not mine.” I replied with a smirk as James stared at me.

“No. You better bring me back some food or something bloody brilliant.” James replied as I nodded.

“Sure thing, if we don’t get caught first.” I replied as James nodded. “I’ll tell McKenzie to meet you in front of the three broomsticks. She’ll look like me, but she’ll be dressed differently, alright?” I said.

“Yeah, yeah. Just hurry up and go, I don’t know how long it’ll be before Professor McGonagall starts to look for you.” James said as I quickly nodded and darted down the hallway, towards the shrieking shack. Once I had finally made my way inside, I noticed a bunch of teenagers standing around as I smiled.

“There you are!” Teddy exclaimed as I rolled my eyes.

“Clary what took you so long?” Scorpius asked to my side as I held up the invisibility cloak.

“I had to get the cloak from James,” I said as I looked over towards McKenzie who was wearing a grey sweater underneath a Beatles shirt with skinny jeans, black uggs and a red knit hat. “James will meet you in front of the Three Broomsticks, but go check in with Professor McGonagall once you’ve changed, here’s the permission slip.” I said as I handed McKenzie my permission slip form and looked over at the grinning twins. “Where’s Bradley?”

“He was stopped by Julia; she wanted to know where you and I were.” Lara said as I nodded, “I think he told her that we had already headed down towards Hogsmeade, he’ll be meeting me and Libs down there.”
