Belly Dancers, a Motown Band & the Worlds Greatest Suit

So last Thursday (Dec. 10th) was our annual holiday party and for anyone who's ever thrown a party for a large group of people, it's hard! 

Having to worry about the venue cost, the food, the drink prices, the entertainment and making sure everyone is happy ALL while keeping within budget is difficult but all the stress is worth it. Especially the moment the party is over you feel like a million bucks because you know you don't have to organize squat for another year ;)

So okay, for the party this year we traveled quite the distance (literally across the street) to a Moroccan restaurant called Sultan's Tent. 

The evening started off with a few belly dancers and Prince (the snake, not the performer...unfortunately).

Of course Allen had to get in on the action

So once the belly dancers did their thing and people had indulged in the food, it was time for a little Motown.

Now I know, it seems random (because something says Morocco like a Motown band) but hey, you gotta make things interesting sometimes and switch things up from a normal top 40's DJ.

So okay, one of my favourite parts of night was the suit, the near perfection of a christmas suit that was just.....just amazing

I mean holy crap this made my night and Todd was my absolute favourite. The first question I had for him was "where did you get the suit from?". Apparently the internet.

So after this picture was taken the rest of the night flew by and I was quickly brought back into reality the moment the bill was handed to me. 

This is the one crappy thing about being an Office Manager as you're the responsible one at the end of the night and trying to pay a large ass bill while you're half in the bag is always interesting. That and heading into the office the next morning to clean up from the afterparty but hey, I can't complain cause I was totally there partying into the night ;)
