It's been two days since the garage incident with Caroline and Jake, and I haven't talked to either of them. Caroline because I've been busy wiith work, and Jake because I was just mad with him. What was wring with him? We made a plan so I could help Caroline become more social and out of the house, and he was just preventing that!
"Hey, Harry?" I heard a too familiar voice. I just kept walking through the parking lot and hoped my car was close. "Harry!" The voice repeated, but I continued walking. "Harry, I know you can hear me!"
I stopped and turned around. "What?!" I snapped at Jake.
"What's your problem?" Jake asked once he caught up to me.
"What are you talking about?" I shook my head at how confused Jake was. This had to be an act, he's not this dumb.
"You know exactly what I'm talking."
"No, I really don't."
I huffed. "Fine, if I must. What happened in the garage? You flipped out when Caroline was trying to conquere her fear! What was that about?"
Jake looked down and sighed. "Look, Harry we went through this. I don't want you helping her anymore. In fact, the whole plan...it's off."
"What? Why?" Now I was confused.
"I thought about it and...I don't think we should play Caroline like this."
"We aren't playing her, we're helping her." I corrected him.
"But even you thought it was a bad idea at first, I'm just now realizing it."
"Look, Jake. I don't want to stop now, I've kinda...um...grown close to Caroline." I confessed, scratching the back of my head awkwardly as I said it.
"I know, but...when she finally decides to go out of the house...I want to be the one that helped her so I can feel proud as her older brother." Jake explained.
"Jake, you can call of the plan, but that won't stop me from helping Caroline."
"Yes, it will. You're my friend, you can't do anything with my sister if I say you can't!" Jake argued, raising his voice.
"I can do what I want, and I'm gonna help Caroline, no matter what you say." I turned around and continued walking.
"Fine, I didn't want to do this Harry but...if you don't stop helping Caroline...then you can't even see her." Jake called, causing me to stop.
I turned around. "What?" Did he really just say that?
"You heard me. I don't want you seeing Caroline anymore. Ever."
"I'm serious. In fact, don't even show up at our house anymore! You're banned!" He cut me off.
My hands turned into fists. My blood boiled, but I didn't do anything. I found my car and slammed the door once I got in. How could he do this? I was helping him and now I can't even go to his house? What about Caroline? What was he going to tell her, and what was she going to think? I stepped on the gas pedal, ignoring the speed limits and happy once I got on the high way. Rain was smacking the car, but I just kept going faster, but I could tell I was going to regret it once I lost control
