"What should I get her for her christmas?" I ask Sophie as I'm dicing some kitchen
She shrugs her shoulders
"Something that she likes," she answers flatly
I throw a piece of raw chicken breast at her
"Stupid slut!" I yell
"Stupid fuck boy!" She yells back chucking the chicken back at me
We burst into giggles before I ask her seriously
"From what I hear, she really enjoyed he holiday," Sophie answers thoughtfully
"Take her on holiday this time without any business involved," she continues and I nod my head
I place Sophie and I's dinner on the table and she jokingly suggests I buy an engagement ring
I tell her to shut up but the thought doesn't leave my mind altogether
It doesn't even leave my mind when we argue that night
