I made the best decision to grab a tub of ice cream, some nachos, two cans of Coke and gummy bears up to my room and now it felt like my stomach was about to explode. Jace and I were suffering from a major sugar rush and we needed to go to the candy hospital right about now. I laughed at everything he said as long as he cracked a smile. Okay I didn't exactly laugh, I giggled.

Oh, the great things that sugar does to you. I must've looked as if I was drunk and maybe I am, because in all my sixteen-nearly-seventeen existence, I've never tired alcohol in my life. Okay maybe I did. But it was totally by accident, I swear.

I was ten and my mum had a glass of red wine on the table that looked like grape juice, so being the young and innocent girl I was and still am - jokes - I took a huge gulp. Not a sip. A huge gulp. I got yelled at by my mum and for the rest of the night I pretended like I was drunk and maybe I was. I don't know, and I guess I'll never find out. That was literally the most embarrassing thing I've done in front of both my parents and my brother before they broke off.

"Oh my god, that's hilarious," Jace started laughing like mad.

"What?" Oh god. Did I just say it out loud?

"Yea you did."

I did it again, didn't I?

"Yep, you did, Lia."

I pressed my lips info a thin line and mentally cursed myself for being such a klutz. "God that's embarrassing," I let out a breath of laughter.

"You wanna hear mine? It's like way worse." Jace did that sassy hand thingy that Regina George did in Mean Girls and I smiled.

"What could be worse than pretending to be drunk without knowing that you're drunk?"

"Just you wait, Archer."

He told me his crazy story and I laughed my butt off. I knew it was mean, but I couldn't help it. It was way worse than my embarrassing story and right now my stomach was literally about to fall out of my butt.

"Is it that funny?"

"You mean the fact that you actually dressed up as your mother for halloween because you lost a bet and had no money to pay? Then yes."

"Hey, it wasn't just because of money," his face was flushed red as he tried to fend for himself. I exploded into another huge round of laughter and I saw the corners of his lips tugged up into a smile.

"It's so weird huh," he said as he looked away.

My laughter subsided as I raised my brows, "What do you mean?"

"Just a couple of days ago I was laughing at you because of... Shit, i forg-"

"Because I left my shoelaces untied and one of your jackass friends' decided to step on them and I fell face first," I chipped in.

"Right. I'm sorry. But you have to admit your face was hilarious and damn you should've seen-" He stopped after realising that I was giving him my death stare and he nodded slowly.

"Right. Sorry."

I shrugged, "Whatever. I'm used to it anyway. Anyway, I'm really curious about what you said just now, about not bullying me anymore. Where did that come from?"

He looked over at me and gave me a small smile, "Why not? Unless you want me to continue, I sure as hell wouldn't mind."

His smile turned into a devilish smirk and I shook my head. "No, thank you."

He chuckled, showing off that perfectly placed dimple on his left cheek.

"It's nearly 1 and after all that laughing I'm still not tired." He said and I chuckled, nodding.
