Chapter Twenty-Seven: Let's Go To The Beach

Rogue's POV

I was laying in my bed, hand over my closed eyes. I was in the comfort of my own home. I had just woken up. I was shirtless (Added this because I want him to be and because he probably sleeps like that because Sting does) and slightly sweaty from my sleep.

It's been a month since I've seen or heard of any sign of Kagura. "I wonder how she is.. And what she's doing...' is all I would think about throughout the day.

I stood up, running my hands through my jet black hair. I stared in the mirror that was near my bed, my crimson eyes burning into my mirror image.

'Where is she?' I couldn't help but wonder. I sighed and pulled open my drawer and took out some clothes.
I dressed myself in simple white v-nexk shirt and a long, dark gray trench coat that went down to just above my knees. I slipped on some light khaki pants and began to start my day.

I prepared myself some toast and buttered it ( Dedicated to one of my friends @/ on IG C; ).
I finished my meal in a matter of miutes and went to go wake up Frosch.

"Hey, it's time to go to the guild hall now..." I said gently and shook the small exceed.

He yawned and looked at me with his large, circular eyes and blinked, rubbing them. "Will Fro eat at the Hall?"
I nodded and Frosch smiled.

I picked him up and began walking towards the guild hall.
I got there and as I walked in, I was welcomed by everyone in it.

My mood lightened by it and I set Frosch down to eat and talk with Lector afterwards.

No one was barely ever at the guild hall for the jobs. Everyone in it now come by just to relax and spend time with their comrades.

Jobs nowadays weren't as big, for example, taking out a dark guild of some sort.
They were simple, for example, working at a restaurant or capturing a low-ranked criminal. Nothing too bizarre or challenging.

To be honest, I'd be lying if I said that didn't disappoint me. I loved the way it was before. But, there isn't anything I can do now to change the way things are now. Maybe the way things are now are for the better.

"You alright there Rogue?" Sting approached me, cup in hand.

"I'm fine." I said, snapping out of my thoughts.

"You seem really inside your head..." He shrugged.

"I guess there is alot running through my mind..." I looked out the ground shyly, realizing that I was just standing in the middle of the guild hall, staring at nothing and was as stiff as a statue.

"What's on your mind?" Sting asked, genuinely curious and concerned.

"I'm wondeing where Kagura is." I falt out admitted, still looking down, avoiding any eye contact with him.

"Kagura? You mean your fu-"

"No she's not that." I balled my hand up into a fist for a moment. "She's someone I care about... Alot, actually..." (A/N "Fu-" meaning "fuck-buddy" (;)

"I see." Sting smirked.

"I'm going to find her. Take care of Frosch for me, okay?" I finally looked up at him and he nodded.
I walked out of the Hall and started making my way to Kagura's house.

I knocked on her apartment room door.

Fortunately, she opened it.

She was dressed in a simple red robe and a plain white night gown.

She looked at me in awe. She gaped at me for a little while and I couldn't help but smile at her.

She seemed to zone back in and pulled her robe closer to her. "I-I apologize, I wasn't prepared for your visit." And her cheeks turned a light pink.

I shook my head and pulled her in for a well-desired hug.
I shut my eyes. My arms were wrapped around her waist, holding her close.
She submitted to my hug and wrapped her own arms around my neck, tangling her fingers into my hair and gave me a quick kiss on the nose.

"I missed you alot..." She whispered.

"I've missed you alot too..." I then kissed her forehead, enjoying the moment.

"Let me get changed and let's talk." She then began to slowly remove herself from me.
I nodded and she closed the door, only to return a few minutes later and let me in.

She wore a thin and simple navy blue shirt that had a high collar, almost like one of a turtleneck and a white skirt. Under the skirt she wore plain black tights which reached to her classic knee high boots that were white. And of course, on top of her head, was her signature white ribbon.

"So what shall we do?" She leaned against a nearby wall inside her apartment.

"I'm not too sure... Anything you want, really."

"I haven't been to a beach in awhile..." Her voice was soft and her cheeks were tinted a soft pink. I couldn't lis, she looked absolutely adorable.

"Let's go to the beach then." I smiled.

"R-Really?" She seemed amazed.

"I don't see why not. I haven't been to a beach in awhile either, so it would be nice." I held out a hand for her.

She smiled and took it, and we made our way to a little beach just outside of Magnolia, hand in hand.
We definitely earned ourselves a few glances from the public.

We arrived at the beach.
Well, it wasnmt really proclaimed as a beach, but it might aswell be.

The body of water that stretched out quite far was a lake, and after the lake was an ocean. The two were connected by a average sized stream.

The sand was clean. No litter could be seen anywhere. The only thing that could be seen lying in the sand where whole shells scattered everywheree and the few crabs that called this place their home.

Hello hello I am alive and well.
I'm trying to set this fanfic up for the upcoming Christmas week so I'll be updating alot (but I won't be proof-reading cause that takes up too much time) and I'm so excited to make chapters for the given prompts!
Hope you enjoy this chapter (it was handwritten in the beginning LMAO)
