I placed the small piece of paper on her desk.
It read 'Yeah, I love little talks like those ;) especially ones with people like you x'
Was that too cheesy? I have no clue. The teacher was calling roll. Well, I noticed she was when I heard Lucas Hemmings. Really, I was thinking about Brinelle. I barely know her, or what she does, but I just know that I want to learn more about her. So during class our teacher gave us homework. Like...really, it's the first day of school. We were both on the way to lunch she grabbed hers and I grabbed mine. We sat down at an empty table. We were both awkward but hey we just met a couple hours ago.
"So, Luke....I think I'm gonna need help with calculus homework."
"Okay?"
"Do you want to come over to my place and we can study and also work on that thing for the long pretest?" she suggested.
"Yeah, I mean I honestly don't feel like completing that whole packet in like two days." I agreed with her. I definitely wasn't really in the mood to do this much math homework on the first day. But, I know it won't be boring if I'm with Brinelle.
"About what time?" I asked.
"What about an hour after school ends?"
"Yeah, I think that's fine. Oh, do you want my number in case we need to contact each other?"
"Yeah, sure that's a great idea."
We both started eating our lunch. We pretty much had the same thing. After we both got up and threw our trash away there was still 15 minutes of lunch left. I guess we were both hungry.
"So, did you go to this school last year?"
"Oh no, I just moved here this summer." I answered.
"Oh, well I'm glad."
The day went by, fast. Like really faster than I expected. At the end of the day she even got her locker jammed so I needed to help her. I was glad that she knew she could come to me. When we both rode back home on the bus we had a conversation and I learned more about from when she was younger and she shared some of her favorite memories and so did I. I made a best friend in like 6 hours.
a/n: hope you liked this chapter in luke's pov soz it was kinda short but yeah i think i ended it in a pretty good place but watch out in the next couple chapters i might leave you at a cliffhanger ily ♥
