Chapter 5 I'm Scared?

Reyna's P.O.V

To say I was completely and utterly frightened would be an understatement. I was currently in the middle of the forest at 9 pm in the night, and it was pitch black besides for the light being radiated from the full moon above me.

Or should I say us.

I was with none other than Hayden and I don't know whether I should be grateful or slightly terrified. He had one heck of a reputation, a reputation that I wasn't completely familiar with but one that I slightly know of. So based off of what I already know, I think I should be terrified.

But for some reason I wasn't.

I felt safe. Like I've known Hayden much longer. Like I've known him before.

I was currently trailing behind Hayden, following him to who knows where. All I knew was there were a lot of trees, and they looked almost identical.

Almost.

I looked at my surroundings and realized we've been here before, twice! I reached out to him to tap his back when I noticed that I lost my ring.

Could this day get any worse. I don't remember where I even got that ring, but it was one of the most valuable things I've ever had and I've always had it with me for as long as I could remember.

I kept my eyes trained on the ground, hoping to spot my silver, scratched up knot ring. Unfortunately I couldn't find it and I was getting tired of walking the same path again and again.

"Um Hayden, I think we're going the wrong way" I said.

He waves his hand in dismissal and continues walking.

"Hayden we are going in circles."

He doesn't say anything and continues walking.

Why can't he just admit that we are lost?

I sigh and we keep walking. It's been about an hour and we have crossed the same path again!  I rubbed my hands together to warm them up. I was tired, cold, and just wanted to sit down. I don't care what he does, I am not going to keep walking blindly just to end up in the same place again.

"Hayden I'm tired, hungry, I lost my favourite ring, and I'm not going to just keep walking only to end up where we started" I told him.

He stops in his track suddenly and I bump into his back. "Oof, sorry" I mumble, my face turning red.

He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "Okay."

My eyes widen. Was I hearing right? "Oh, um cool."

Um cool? Was that the best you could say? Ugh, my social skills are just getting worse and worse by the day.

I looked around for somewhere or something to sit on, when my eyes landed on a a chopped down tree stump. "Perfect" I said under my breath.

I walked over to the stump and dusted it off before sitting on it. "Ah" I sighed in content, stretching my legs out.

My eyes started to feel heavy, tiredness hitting me like a truck. Yawning, I decided to just close my eyes for a bit when I felt a presence right in front of me. I opened one eye and saw Hayden, amusement written all over his face. I tilted my head "can I help you?" I yawned.

He shook his head.

Yawning once more, I closed my eyes. Letting sleep take over. I felt myself sway to the right, but rather then falling over the tree stump my head plopped onto something. Someone.

Hayden.

I felt something warm wrapped around me and thats when I realized how cold I was. I snuggled closer, burying my face into his shoulder unconsciously. His arm tightened around me and I sighed in content.

Inhaling his minty sweet smell I drifted into a deep sleep, before hearing him say "always the same."

Always the same?

I was too tired to ask him what he meant, so I didn't.

"You know you don't have to be here everyday" the boy with green eyes said.

"I know, but I like seeing you!" the girl with the dark brown eyes chimed

He chuckled. "You are so weird Rainy. You're probably the only person that would rather spend her summer in a hospital watching after me."

"Thats not true! You're parents would, if they didn't have to go to work" she mumbled at the end.

"You're probably right, so I'm not going to argue with you" he said, trying to make her smile again, and she did.

"Thats right mister! So eat your lunch, and I better not see any crumbs left you go it?"

"Yes ma'am" he saluted.

She giggled and like she said he finished every single disgusting bite.

"Can you get me some water?" he asked her.

She raised her eye brow "what's the magic word?"

He rolled his eyes amused, "please?"

She grinned, and skipped over to the other side of the room and filled a cup up to the rim with water. She carefully walked over to the boy, trying not to spill it.

"Here you go" she said, carefully placing the cup in his hand, some of the water spilling over his hand.

He looked up at her and chuckled "thanks sweetheart."

She felt her face heat up and opened her mouth to something, but closed it; not knowing what to say. The boy grinned, seeing her so flustered.

I woke up, with an odd feeling.

That was weird.

I looked around expecting to see the dark forest that I was stuck in earlier, but instead saw my barren room.

Did he carry me all this way?

I felt my cheeks tint red.

I weigh a ton, how was he able to bring me home? Home...

"How did he know where I lived" I said under my breath.

I sigh, burying my face in my pillow. I reached over to my night stand when I felt something. I looked up from my pillow and gasped.

It was my ring. How did he even find it? I was sure it was lost. Sitting up, I noticed a slip of paper that was under my ring. I picked it up and looked at it, it was a note.

This is yours I believe, sweetheart.

A/N:

Sooo I really hoped you like it and it was confusing or boring. I tried to add some cute stuff :P but i really hope it doesn't sound so bad right now.

Im gonna try writing more often since I'm done working for now, well my session is done and I'm waiting for the winter session to start and yeahhh.
