Chapter 1

Breathe in. Breathe out. Okay. Relax.

I was trying to calm myself down but i was being nervous.

"Check for me. I can't do it." I said

to my best friend Hannah beside me who was looking at me like I was over reacting.

She rolled her big brown eyes at me and pushed me aside causing me to bump into a garbage can nearly knocking it over.

"You're such a chicken." She said insulting me.

We were standing in the school halls at the drama bulletin board outside the drama classroom.

On the board was the long list of names of everyone who got a part in the school play, Forever yours.

The play was a love story about a rich girl who fell for a small town boy but they couldn't be together because of her very religious father.

I auditioned for the role of the rich girl, Macy, who was the main character. I was pretty happy with the way my audition went, i mean i pretty much nailed it, yet i was still too scared to see if i got the part.

I've always loved acting but i was always to shy to audition for a play. Now senior year i decided to face my fears and go for it.

I watched Hannah check the list through little openings in my hands that were covering my face.

Her little index finger slid down the list until it stopped on Macy. Then she moved her finger to the right following the dots that lead to the name that would play her.

I was bouncing on my heels and i was almost positive i wasn't breathing.

I couldn't take it anymore the suspense was to much!

"Well? Did i get it?" I asked staring at the back of Hannah's head.

She turned around slapping me in face with her long, black, straight hair.

"Get what?" She asked while staring at her nails like she didn't have anything else better to do.

"Stop playing with me Hannah! You know what i'm talking about!" I said while grabbing onto her shoulders and shaking her back and forth.

She started laughing and gently pushed my hands away.

"Okay okay relax woman no need to manhandle me. You know Macy is a sweet character. I don't know how you're going to play her since you're so violent."

"I am not viol-"

Wait.

A smile broke across my face. Was she implying that i got the part?

"So what are you saying?" I said with a grin.

"YOU GOT THE PART!" Hannah screamed and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm so proud of you Bailey!"

"Thanks" was all i managed to say since i couldn't really breath in her embrace.

When she finally let me go i took a look at the list. I wasn't scared anymore now that i knew i got the part.

Sure enough there was my name next to Macy's. Bailey Flin.

I read the paper which said there was a meeting tomorrow for all cast and crew in the theater after school.

I couldn't contain my excitement. This was BIG. I was the main character in a play an-

"Do you know who Ethan Brown is? Hannah asked interrupting my thoughts. She was studying the list still scanning the names in it.

I shook my head.

"No. Why?"

"He plays River. The boy lead role."

"So what?" I shrugged.

"Don't you want to know the guy you're going to 'fall in love' with and kiss for the next 3 months? I mean you guys are going to have to be really close."

"No we're going to have to ACT really close, Hannah" i said like i could careless, when really i was scared all over again.

What if Ethan and i didn't get along? What if the guy i'm supposed to be in love with is rude or mean? What if he's gross looking and i'm forced to kiss his face?

"If you say so. Now let's go before we're late" Hannah said while looping her arm around mine and guiding me towards class.

I tried to calm down by saying that everything would be okay. Tomorrow i would meet Ethan at the meeting and everything would be fine. Right?

Hey guys how'd you like the first chapter?

I know its short but the rest are a lot longer and trust me it gets better!

Writing isn't really my forte but i have a really good idea for this story. Give it a chance ^_^
