"Are you almost ready?" Harry whined while I applied my makeup for the party.

"Almost." I told him once again fro the third time in a ten minute span.

"You said that five minutes ago!" He whined leaning up against the door frame staring at me though the mirror.

"Well maybe if  you stopped asking every five seconds I would go a little faster." I swiped on mascara looking at him from the corner of my eye.

Harry had gone back to normal within the next day after the kissing incident happened, he acted as though it had never happened in the first place. I knew it was most likely for the best but still, part of me wanted the kiss to happen but now that Harry had put it behind him I should as well.

"Whose party is this anyway?" I asked Harry who wore jean pants that came above his knee and a big beard that I couldn't help but laugh at. He held the little FedEx  envelop under his arm of his plain white shirt.

"My friend Niall, you will like him." Harry assured me as if I had any doubt that I wouldn't like him.

"Okay lets go!" I switched off the light to the bathroom and watched Harry's features light up at my words.

"Finally!"I heard him say while I arranged sticks in my ponytail to add to my simple costume of being a volleyball named Wilson.

Shutting and locking the door to my apartment we went on our way to Harry's car. While the kids of the building began trick or treating to the different apartments we got to see all the little kids chant the Halloween phrase when someone would open their door with a bowl full of candy that excited the kids.

"Are you upset we aren't going trick or treating?" Harry asked me once we made our way down to the lobby in the elevator.

"No!" I laughed furrowing my brow playfully.

"I could see how you would since you cut your crust off your peanut butter and jelly sandwiches." He referred back to the night I had kept a fond memory of.

"Little kids don't drink wine like I can though." I winked at Harry when the door to the elevator opened and we began to walk outside into the cold air outside.

Taking hand into his he began to run to reach the warmth of the car. Keeping up with him I ran around to get to my side of the car and opened it up sliding in then slamming the door shut to be met with Harry who turned the key into the ignition.

"Buuurrrr!!" He rubbed his hands together to create some form of heat as I did the same. Once the heater had kicked on Harry pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards the party that was only waiting for us.

"Wilson!" Harry called to me in a gruff voice that resembled Tom Hanks in Cast Away. Pushing though the people I reached Harry and was met with a pair of blue eyes and blonde hair.

"Sorry I got stuck behind a few people." I apologized settling next to Harry's side.

"Rowan this is Niall, my best friend. Or at least he likes to think he is." Harry cracked a smile when he spoke.

"I think it's the reverse!" Niall shot back causing me to laugh. "It's nice to meet you Rowan! I hope you enjoy the party!"

"Thank you! It's amazing you really went all out." I commented on the nicely decorated house that had Halloween decor everywhere.

"It's kind of a tradition." He shrugged and went on to tell me that this Halloween was an annual thing that everyone always came to.

After a few drinks and dancing in the living room to the music that blared in our ears Harry took my hand.

"Follow me!" He shouted over the loud party music.

"Where are we going?" I questioned following behind him.

"You will see." He told me peddling up the stairs. I became a little uneasy when we reached the top, this had reminded me of all those movies where the boy would take the girl up into a bedroom at the party and have sex with her. I wasn't ready for anything like that and I didn't think Harry was either considering what happened only a few days ago. Leading me into a bedroom my thought in my head only became more frantic, Harry wouldn't do this would he?

"Harry..." I began watching him open up the window to the side of the room.

"Come on!" He gestured to me while he then climbed out of the window and placed his two feet on the roof.

"It's chilly!" I complained not wanting to haul my body through the window.

"Come on! I have to show you something!" He extended his hand out to me while my hands were placed on my hips.

"Fine!" I complied after seeing those dimpled cheeks convince me.

Giving him my hand he pulled me up through the window and onto the roof where I stayed close to his body. Moving to make more room he then sat on the windy rooftop swinging his legs back and forth. Joining him I leaned onto his shoulder and looked up at the stars that blinked all over the night sky.

"It's beautiful up here." I told Harry and was glad that I had followed him up here. The party was still going on downstairs but we didn't care. With our legs hanging off the roof Harry wrapped an arm around me keeping me warm while we watched the lively night sky.

"I come up here when I need time to think. When I lose sight of things, I look up at the stars and see how little everything is in the universe." Harry began speaking not taking his eyes off the glittering sky above.

"Do you come up here often?" I asked wondering if he had spent extensive time thinking things over.

"I did, Not so much anymore. That's what I have you for." My heart began beating quickly when he told me this. I was getting so many mixed feeling from Harry that I didn't know what to do, all I felt was confusion.

"Do you still not believe in love?" I followed up wondering if his point of view had stayed the same.

"Yes." He answered so simply it almost bothered me.

"Why not?" Frustration building in me since I wanted to be more then a friend to Harry. I wouldn't admit it out loud to him but I could feel it. Harry was giving me so many mixed feelings with him wanting to kiss me but then refraining, then wanting to hold my hand and cuddle but then slightly pulling away when things got a little too comfortable. Harry was hard to read and I was tired of trying to  figure out what he felt.

"Reasons." His eyes cast down and I could tell this was all a sore subject.

"What reasons Harry? We are friends we can tell each other things like this." I tried to encourage him without so much aggressiveness. I just wanted to know his reason for not believing in something so pure as love.

"I just can't..." He told me banking his head making the curls in his hair sway slightly.

Taking in a deep sigh I looked back up at the sky and began reeling my thoughts of love. I wished so badly Harry believed in love, maybe I would better understand him if he just told me why. I felt like I had told Harry anything he wanted to know except for things about my family but, to be fair he never asked about them. Although if I'm being honest I would be terrified to open up that can of worms.

If only Harry didn't have a broken point of view when it came to love.
