Kim

In all my years of unbearable despondency, this day has got to be one of the worst to date. It has been half a day already, and I knew that I had a full 24 hours of investigation left to find out where my missing cousin was, otherwise the worst imaginable could happen. The thought has been settled into my brain ever since the deadly phone-call I had received yesterday from the reincarnated Devil himself. His menacing, profound voice still rung in my ear. I remembered the phone call word for word every time I thought about it, and it was depressing whenever I came to the realisation that he was now beginning to take over our whole family. It made me wonder what things would have been like if Dean had just done what he was told, that way he wouldn't be in debt with Marik, and he wouldn't feel the need to terrorise our whole family. Dean has managed to jeopardize our entire family single-handedly in the space of a couple months without even realising. It's shameful really, knowing Dean has gotten into this mess when he has a child on the way. You'd expect him to be more responsible.

Then again this is Dean.

I sighed and picked at the nail of my fore-finger. Really and truly I should be on the road, searching high and low for Taylor and trying my best to find her. Instead I was sat with Ajay on his comfortable double bed in his room. I had been here for a few hours, and now we were in his room relaxing and spending some time together, since our activity had got rudely interrupted at the park. The cold breeze seeped in through the small crack in the window, creating a chilly atmosphere, as if the room was air-conditioned. I shivered slightly and Ajay, who was stood at his DVD rack, turned to me.

 "You cold?" I nodded slowly.

"A little." He walked over to the window and shut it then drew both of the curtains. The room then appeared dimmer and more peaceful. He dragged the covers over me and covered my legs and arms. I smiled appreciatively.

"Thank you," I said. He nodded and smiled before inserting the DVD into the DVD player. He turned up the volume via the TV then sat next to me on the bed with his back rested against the head-board. He rested his arm around me and pulled me closer into him. I inhaled his sweet scent and exhaled deeply. He smelt so masculine and delicious. I didn't even recognise the smell, but I knew he used some sort of Spanish perfume sent from Madrid. The film began to play and the landscape was shown.

"What film is this?" I asked.

 "Karate Kid." He announced.

"Oh okay," I said quietly. I rested my head on his shoulder and he rubbed my arm gently. As the film played I couldn't help but be in two places at the same time. Meaning I couldn't help but think of Taylor again. It was funny how I ended up in Ajay's house when I had other important things to do. He had called me saying his mum weren't around and he felt lonely, so he invited me over. I just couldn't say no to Ajay, it wasn't in my nature. An hour had passed and the film was still on. I had managed to have a few laughs from Jayden Smith and his attempt to learn Kung Fu. The warm motion of Ajay's hand on my skin soothed my thoughts a little, as Taylor was still in the back of my mind.

"You alright?" He whispered in my ear. I nodded, "you're not scared are you?"

"Course not." I replied still watching the screen. I just couldn't bring myself to look him eye, I would just melt. The frame then froze and the pause symbol appeared on the right corner of the screen. My eyes shifted to his hand and I realised he had paused it.

"You sure you're okay?" I nodded not giving eye contact, "I'm here for you if you wanna talk about it Kim." I peered to the window and released a great breath.

"I was just thinking. I'm having a family crisis at the moment." His head tilted slightly.

"What is it?" He asked curiously. My eyes slowly shifted towards his wonderful forest green eyes, before turning back to the window.
