"where would you like to go first?" i asked uneasily, nervous that she was going to release my hand.

but she didn't.

her eyes gleamed with the colors of the park, the rainbow twinkling in her pupils.

"can we go on that one?" she asked, her finger pointing north towards a giant swing set that spun you around.

i swallowed the the fear that i might puke down and i led her towards the ride.

her eyes danced, a wondrous look on her face.

the man attending the ride took our tickets and we soon were sitting on the cold, metal seats.

her legs swung in the breeze, anticipation running through her brains.

i froze completely as the ride began, fear controlling my mind.

her blue eyes caught mine, and the most miraculous thing happened.

it was just her.

and me.

and all the fear, and the sadness had vanished.
