Getting down on my knees to get different angles of the model I was photographing I began having her change poses. The model I had today was a girl and her mother, her mother was making her take senior pictures when clearly she had no desire to be here. I tried to make the process as painless as possible while I snapped shots at different angles and routinely telling her she was doing great.

"Rowan!" My best friend and assistant came behind to where I was doing a photoshoot.

"Yeah?" I answered not taking my eyes off the camera.

"There's someone on the phone wanting you." Elena told me.

"Who is it?" I questioned furrowing my brow while finishing up the shoot with the unenthused seventeen soon to be eighteen year old.

"He said his name is Marcel and that you would know who he is." Elena shrugged her shoulders raising her arms up then dropping them to her sides.

Rolling my eyes I responded, "I'm just finishing up here, tell him I will be with him in a few."

"Okay." Elena walked back to the front desk to tend to "Marcel's" needs.

Once finished with the shoot I guided the mother and daughter back to the front desk for Elena to care for. Picking up the phone I answered waiting to hear that british accent on the other end.

"Hello?" I answered.

"You know you should give your front desk girl a raise, she was very helpful!" Harry began on the other end.

"How can I help you "Marcel"?" I played with him.

"What are you doing right now?" He asked me while I gazed out the window while then responding to his question.

"I'm at work, because that's what adults do; go to work."

"Oh yeah where did you say your work was again?" I shook my head at his tactics to get me off task.

"Shouldn't you be at work too?"

"You didn't answer my question." Harry responded back.

"I own my own photography studio. It's on 78th and 40th." I gave him the information he wanted. "And again, shouldn't you be at work?"

"Who said I wasn't at work?"

"I'm pretty sure your manager wouldn't appreciate you sitting on a long phone call." I reminded him waving to the customers I had just taken pictures for.

"That's besides the point, I wanted to see if you were free tonight." My heart rate picked up hearing him ask for my plans this evening.

"Maybe, what did you have in mind?" Elena looked at me with a confused expression as to who I was really talking to.

"A good time." Harry responded simply.

I laughed before responded, "That's vague but I'm always up for a good time."

"Good! I'll come get you at five thirty, text me your address." Harry concluded.

"Okay, Bye Harry!" I raised my voice slightly to emphasise that I had to go.

"Harry?" Elena seemed more confused than before as she waited for me to give her an explanation. "I thought that was Marcel?"

"No, it's Harry. He's just someone I met." I held back a smile not wanting to let Elena onto anything.

"Just someone? I doubt that!" Elena told me unconvinced of my nonchalant attitude and my bursting at the seams smile. "Has anyone told you you're really bad at hiding things from people?"
