As we stepped into his house, I was still fighting back the idiotic smile that threatened to spread across my face. He thanked me for something as small as being his friend. It was so...cute. Kizumi and I tossed our bags onto the kitchen counter, then turned and looked at each other.

"So...do you want to watch it now?" He asked me.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Let's watch in my room then." He grabbed the movie from the bag and began to walk away. I scooped up our snacks and followed him. We headed up the stairs, and then on the right side of the hallway, we entered a door.

Before me was Kizumi's bedroom. It was neater than I expected. Even his backpack was hung over the back of the chair that was pushed in at his desk. His bed was made as well. I like this room. It was kind of peaceful.

"You can set those on the desk." He referred to the snacks. I walked over and set them down carefully. When I turned back around, he was putting the disc into the DVD player that was hooked up to the little flatscreen on his dresser. It wasn't particularly small, but it was smaller than thought it would be.

"Where do I sit?" I asked looking around. There weren't any chairs except for the one at the desk. I suppose I could sit on the floor...

"On the bed, I guess." He said as he switched on the T.V. next. "I usually sit on it sideways so I can face the television."

"Oh...like this?" I asked as I positioned myself so that the headboard was to my right and the end of the bed was at my left. He nodded and then grabbed the remote before walking over to the bed. He hopped on, keeping a good two foot distance between us.

"I hope this movie isn't crap..." He muttered under his breath as the previews began to play. I laughed in response and then nodded in agreement.

"Yeah. We'll have wasted money."

"And time." He sounded annoyed with the thought.

"Well, maybe not." I replied and looked at him. "After all, it did give us something to do. Plus, we got snacks out of it." I gestured towards them. He nodded and then got off the bed and walked over to the desk. I watched him gather all of the snacks and then plop them on the bed in between us.

I grabbed a bag of gummy bears and tore them open. Before taking some, I offered the bag to Kizumi. He declined and then stayed silent as he pressed play on the remote. As the movie began, I popped a gummy bear into my mouth.

We sat in silence watching the movie. The minutes went by slowly, and after a while I started to get a little restless. It wasn't that the movie was boring, but it didn't particularly catch my interest either. I could say the same for Kizumi as well. When I looked over at him, I could see him tracing buttons on the remote. He probably lost interest a lot earlier than I had.

I let out a sigh as I sat up straighter and looked around the room. Kizumi glanced at me as I stood and stretched a little. I turned to face him and he looked back down at the remote in his hands.

"...I'm going to use the bathroom." I told him. He nodded without looking at me and I stood there, waiting for him to tell me where it was. When he didn't anything, I spoke again. "Uh...where is it?"

"Oh...it's the next door over from mine."

"Thanks." I replied and smiled at him. As I turned around to leave the room, I saw blush blossom across his cheeks. I held back a small laugh as I walked out of his bedroom.
