Smoke And Mirrors Game
"Move freak!" Melonie shoulder bumped me. I dropped my books on the floor and her crew started laughing. I bent down to pick up my books, but I was pushed to the floor.
"Get up bitch!" One of her followers yelled. They laughed louder and I sighed.
This is nothing new. I get bullied everyday by them. It's always the same thing everyday. I come to school, Melonie bumps me, they push me to the ground, and start yelling at me while they hit me. I'm a nobody here.
"Is the little freak going to cry?" Melonie said. I shook my head and grabbed my books. I stood up and tried to walk away, but someone pulled me back.
"Where do you think you're going?" It was Tom, Melonie's boyfriend.
"Home." I whispered and looked down.
"I don't think so." He raised his fist, but luckily, someone stopped him.
"Hey you!" A teacher yelled.
"See you later slut." Tom laughed, then walked away with all his friends following behind him. I sighed and walked away. I didn't want to stay and wait for the teacher to ask me if I was alright.I went to my locker and grabbed my bag and jacket. I took my phone out my pocket and saw that I had a new text from my brother.
C: I'll be there in a minute. Love you.
I smiled and closed my locker. I started walking towards the front door.
I loved my big brother. He was two years older than me. He goes to a different high school unfortunately.
I walked outside and sat on the bench. I waited and waited, but he still wasn't here. I rolled my eyes and got up. I guess I'll be walking home today. I started walking down the street, humming.
"Hey!" A deep voice called out. I turned around.
Oh.My.Gosh. This guy was sooo cute! He had these amazing light blue eyes, and short light brown hair, and pale skin. His arms was huge!
"Me?" I squeaked and pointed to myself. He chuckled and walked up to me.
"Yeah, you." He said. I looked down at my shoes and smiled.
"Uh, hi." I whispered.
"You're Avalon, right?" I looked up at him and frowned. How did he know my middle name?
"Actually it's Gab-" He smiled, showing his perfect white teeth.
"I've always loved the name Avalon. It's beautiful and exotic like you." He stepped closer to me. I blushed and looked away.
A boy just called me beautiful! People always called me cute, or adorable.
"Oh, um. . . thanks" I chewed on my bottom lip. I heard him laugh.
"I'm Brett. Uh, I'm having a party tonight. I want you to come."I just got invited to a freaking party! Oh my gosh! I obviously don't go to parties.
"Really? Oh, but it's a school night." I frowned. He threw his head back and laughed. I stood there waiting for him to stop. After a few minutes he calmed down.
"Who cares? I'll pick you up at eight. I know your brother. Don't think I'm some crazy stalker." He chuckled. I laughed and nodded.
"I'll see you later, Avalon." He winked, then walked away. I stared at his back as he walked down the street.
