I wake up with a arm wrapped securely around my waist.
It's unusual so I immediately look up to see who it is.
In my sleepy state, I completely forgot Blake didn't sleep on the couch last night. I really could get used to this.
His warmth makes me wake up happier than I usually do. I usually wake up cranky asking for coffee and ten more minutes of sleep.
And we all know 'Ten more minutes' really means 'fuck off and let me sleep' in the nicest way possible.
Now I don't even want to move a muscle as I feel his chest slowly rise and fall against my back.
I smile at the soothing sensation and lay my arm on top of his.
I close my eyes and drift off to sleep once more.
This time when I wake up, Blake isn't beside me.
I sit up hesitantly and stretch out the sleep left in my body. I haul myself out of bed and get ready quickly before throwing on a sweatshirt and Capri yoga pants.
I put my hair in a messy bun and I walk downstairs to find Jason and Blake, laughing their asses off and hovering over a laptop.
"What are you guys doing?" I ask unable to hide the smile appearing across my face.
Blake looks up and smiles "Morning sunshine." He beams.
"Morning T." Jason says with his usual smile.
I raise a eyebrow "You didn't answer my question." I point out.
"And you didn't say good morning" Blake counters sipping his morning tea.
"ROAST." Jason booms while still concentrated on the computer.
I roll my eyes and head over to the freezer to get a breakfast sandwich to heat up.
"Good morning." I say as I pass them.
Blake smiles at my lame attempt at a enthusiastic good morning and Jason just continues to look up whatever he's looking up.
"Do you guys want a breakfast sandwich?" I ask attempting to do a Italian accent, pulling one out for myself.
"I'm okay, love." Blake says
Jason shoots Blake a look before quickly correcting his protective nature. "I'm alright, thanks, though." Jason replies.
I shrug "Suit yourselves. Jackie should be here soon with Frapps, so don't expect my generosity to extend to my coffee." I warn as I plop the sandwich into the microwave.
"Jackie is coming over?" Jason asks.
"So you'll be good if Blake and I play some video games while you two do whatever it is you do?" Jason asks.
I look over at Blake to see if he's okay with it, and it's clear I've missed something when I was asleep.
Blake and Jason seem to have formed a instant friendship. One that is even creepier than Darek and Blake's bonding session the week Darek was recovering and at the Bon fire.
"Uh, yeah. Can we rent a movie?" I ask looking from Blake to Jason.
"As long as you stay in the house" He says giving me that look that tells me he means business.
He's been really worried about me lately, and I don't blame him. But the look he gives me today is softer... like he suddenly trusts Blake more so than he did before.
