Y/n was taken to a large, beautiful room. A large bed with the most expensive and beautiful white and gold bedding and overhangings. The bed itself was made of a dark wood, of what she did not know, but it must have been imported from somewhere far away. A large window with a low sill gave a perfect view of the Nile and the east, where the sun rose. An elegant vanity with a large, gold framed mirror sat on the other side of the room. A beautifully woven carpet was dyed many shades of blue and green with a design that reminded her of the waters of the Nile. As she took in the beauty of the room, she noticed Mana looking at her worriedly. "I-is it not good enough?" she asked, as the warrior had not said a thing. Y/n turned to her and smiled.

"It's beautiful," she said. Mana smiled in relief.

"You must be tired after saving the foolish king." Y/n laughed at that. Mana relaxed a bit more. While she was intimidated being in the presence of a goddess, the Warrior of the Two Lands made her feel at ease. Perhaps it was the goddess's friendly energy or her good natured laugh. Maybe it was just the fact she saved her best friend (and king's) life. Whatever the case, Mana liked the goddess and made it her mission to make sure she was comfortable and pleased at all times. "Is there anything you wish for?"

Y/n thought a moment. "Some tigernut sweets and milk would be great." Mana nodded and bowed.

"You will receive them shortly." And with that, she was gone. Y/n laid down on the bed, feeling herself sink into the comfortable bedding. Now, what was she going to do? They thought she was a god, which to her knowledge she was not. She thought about everything she knew of the ancient Egyptians' society and religion. They would either connect her to Sobek or Sekhmet, both being gods of protection and might. Most likely they would choose Sekhmet as Y/n was female, but that was not guaranteed. Clearly, they thought she was here to protect the pharaoh, from what she did not know. How she would do so she did not know. She stared at the carved ceiling, feeling the soft linen sheets with her hand.

She thought about the woman, Mana she remembered the pharaoh calling her, and how she had yelled at the wounded king. A smile came to Y/n's lips. Clearly, the two had a strong bond, at least more than that of a king and a priestess, definitely close friends. Y/n remembered the king's reaction when she saved him. She remembered the old man, Siamun he had said his name was, and how he greeted her. These people looked up to her. She felt... responsible for them. She couldn't explain it, but in her heart she felt connected to them. She always had to the culture and now that she was here... it was like something had been awakened inside her. If they believed she was a god sent to help them, then help them she would. They believed she would protect the pharaoh and protect him she would.

A knock on the door caught her attention. She sat up. "Enter." Mana came in, holding a bowl of tigernut sweets and cup of milk. She offered them to Y/n, her eyes cast down in respect. Y/n took the items, placing the cup on the small table beside the bed at popped a sweet in her mouth. The taste of cinnamon and nuts along with a hint of fruit coated her tongue. She smiled. They were even better than the modern recipe. She placed a hand on Mana's shoulder. The priestess dared to look up. Y/n held a sweet to her. She cautiously took it, unsure if this was a test of some sort. The kind smile on the goddess's face told her otherwise. She smiled back and ate it.

"A feast will be held tonight in your honor," she said. Y/n's eyebrows rose slightly.

"Tonight?" Mana nodded. "Well, that was quick." Mana grinned. "I mean, I know you have many people working, but I didn't expect it that fast." Mana gave a laugh.

"Are you... impressed?" she asked tentatively, wanting to please the goddess. Y/n nodded.

"Very." Mana smiled.
