{ Alexis' POV }

Beep! beep !beep!

"Ugh"I groaned as I hit my alarm clock.Today was a day I was not looking forward to.Why? Well,because number one,it was game day & Number two,I had to go to school and probably see Dakota and Ethan at the same time and place.Even though I have to go through this,I still have Grayson .He made me feel the way no other girl has probably felt for the past two days.

Bzz bzzz
As I lay in bed,my phone started to vibrate .It was a message from Grayson.

Grayson : Morning beautiful :)

I couldn't help but smile at my phone.That just made my day. I put my phone down, and immediately went to the bathroom.I showered,brushed my teeth and put on some some what casual clothes.A pair of ripped skinny jeans,a black and white 'obey' shirt and a pair of low-cut converse,colored black.I then put my hair into two dutch braids. I grabbed my phone,my gym bag and my chevron book bag.I grabbed my Nike basket ball shoes,my basket ball uniform,and filled up a hydroflask with water.I put all of those items into my gym bag and went down stairs.I ate some cereal and asked my mom to drop me off.(Yes,I'm 16 and still don't have my license.)
As she came down stairs,she immediately ran outside and to our car.I trailed behind her,and hopped in.As I got settled in ,my mom started a conversation."So hon,you excited for the big game today?" she asked with a grin."Very.Are you coming ?" I questioned "of course!why would I miss the game that would probably get you into the WNBA ?" .I wanted to laugh ,but at the same time I didn't .There was going to be an actual spectator from the WNBA .They were going to choose two females from the team.I don't expect to make it ,but I'll just wait and see what happens.
When we reached the entrance of school,I put both straps of my bag on to my shoulders,and put my gym bag over me the way you'd wear a messenger bag.I decided to go to the study hall ,because that's where Jeanette and I usually hang out.As I walked in I saw Jeanette using one of the laptops.I walked to her and she greeted me with a hello.She was on her tumblr."Whoah,for a second there I thought you were actually doing school work"I chuckled.She gave a soft punch to my shoulder and laughed as well.I grabbed a seat next to her and decided to do my class work for Computer Science.We had to do research on who inspires us.I stood up and walked towards the mini library and directly to the 'M' section.I was looking for a book about Michael Jordan . There were so many titles other than what I was actually looking for ,but finally I found one title . Michael Jordan : The life . I was having a hard time pulling it out,so I moved the books beside it to my right and then I saw Ethan in front of me.Luckily he didn't see me,so I immediately put the books back,and decided to just use the internet. I speed walked towards Jeanette .As I sat down,I sighed "phew"."What happened?"Jeanette asked ."I saw Ethan while getting a book." "Wait ,how?"she asked questionably."I found a book and I was having a hard time getting it,so I slid the books beside it and bam.He .was .in front.of.me" I explained.She told me that I should've stuck with the internet,but I prefer getting facts from books,but I had no choice so oh whale.I turned on the laptop and went to word 2016.I whipped out my flash drive and plugged it in.My assignment's header started with 'My inspiration and Motivation '.
And after that I put a quote of his that was my fave " Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen." Words to live by.I typed some information for about 6 minutes and then finished.it's a short essay,so it was not complex.We had 14 minutes until the first bell,so I decided to go onto my tumblr as well.
{13 minutes later}
After the bell rang,I logged out of my tumblr and went straight to class.

{Skips school day }

After school,I made my way to the girls locker room.I put on My basketball uniform and shoes.My hair was still tight and secured .I walked out and saw Grayson across the locker room door wit a rolled up poster in his hands."Hey lex" he said with a grin."Hey Gray,whuz that?" I questioned"just a little surprise for you.You'll see later" he smirked.I saw Jeanette near the exit already in her uniform.I called her name and she walked towards me.I asked if she had seen Dakota anywhere.Her answer was no.I thought we were the in the clear ,but no.She was walking towards the locker room with Ethan.He dropped her off then walked towards Grayson. I stuck with Jeanette and went to the Gymnasium.A few more of the girls came,including Dakota and we started to practice our layups,free throws,passing,dribbling and plays.I was the captain and point guard of the Varsity team and Jeanette was the Co-captain.
After we did our drills,Jeanette and I went to the referees to shake hands with the opposing team .When we finished talking,I called the starters to go onto the court.Jeanette was doing the jump ball since she was tall.The ref blew the whistle and we were off.Jeanette passed the ball to me and I made my way down the court.I did a lay up and made it in.Jeanette gave a pat on the back and Dakota just gave me a weird look.We were back on defense ,and Dakota stole the ball.She just ran down with it.Uh,do you remember how to play?I ran down and when she tried to take a three pointer,she missed.So I fought for the ball and made my shot go in.My coach called a time out and had an angry look on his face."Dakota!What were you thinking?!I made Alexis point guard for a reason!Drop and give me 20!" He yelIed.He decided that Dakota was going to sit out for the next two periods. A few seconds later,my mom enter the gym .She looked at me and gave me a thumbs up.One of the swing team mates took Dakota's spot.We continued to play for 5 minutes ,as I was about to make a shot,one of the opposing team members elbowed me in the stomach.I made it in and just shrugged off the pain.We ran down to defense and I stole the ball.I passed it to Jeanette and she almost didn't make it in.The spectator was to my right,and was writing down a couple of things onto his clipboard. As the 1st Quarter ended,Coach felt sorry for Dakota so he just put her in .We went back to jump ball,and once again Jeanette passed it to me.I ran down the court to the opposing basket and was ready to take my shot,but one of the girls tripped me.I fell down spraining my ankle.I winced in pain.My coach ran towards me and helped me up.I limped and I got a small applaud from my team mates and other people.As we made our way to the benches,Grayson was running towards me."Are you okay Lex?!" He asked with concern."Yeah,I'm fine." I replied.I sat down and then a few seconds later there was a tap on my shoulder.It was my coach.He told me that the spectator was going to send out letters to the two girls who were recommended .I knew that I wasn't on that list,but my coach thought otherwise.
Minutes later,my mom called the ambulance. I was fine,really but my mom was just so worried.As we reached the hospital and made our way to a certain room , I talked with my mom"ma,all I need are crutches." "But swee-" my mom was interrupted by the doctor."Hello Mrs.Waters ,your daughter may need a cast.As you can see here ,you could see that her foot has been broken severely.And may I ask,how?" "Well,it was in the middle of my basketball game.Some girl tripped me and well,that's pretty much it" I replied.

About an hour later,they put on my cast.It was colored white and it felt pretty tight.I walked out with crutches and it hurt so bad"try not to get it wet ma'am"one of the nurses said.After we thanked the doctor, we walked to the front desk.I saw Grayson sitting on one of the chairs with a daisy  in his hand.He saw me and gave me the flower along with a hug."Your mom told me you would be here" he said with a grin.Later on,he grabbed a pen and signed my cast .It said " Graybae loves you!" I smiled, and we walked out.
