Chapter 17: Hideout of the Rebels

Reader's POV

I was pleased to see a smile on Killua's face the rest of the time while we were running. Alluka and Kleo were still asleep on our backs. Killua said he recalled the route the giant gray-furred bear called the Cutter used when she brought us to the castle.

The idea that Aics' Laboratory would still be active without her main data there is extremely doubtful and potentially time consuming, but it wasn't crazy to just check.

"Hey, y/n...?" Killua had suddenly poked my arm while I was running, so I almost tripped. I gasped in relief; there were sooo many shards of glass on the ground where I was about to fall!

"Huh?!" I yelled, still surprised.

I was surprised to see a light blush on his face. "D-did you really mean what you said... About forgiving me even if no one else does?" He mumbled shyly. I hesitated to respond out of surprise. This was not how Killua normally acted unless he was really touched.

"Duh, Killua. Why wouldn't I forgive you?" I replied, trying keeping my composure.

"Even if I did something horrible to you?"

"Yes."

"Even if I raped you?"

"I honestly wouldn't care."

"AYYY YO!!!" Killua shouted. I stayed completely calm.

"I'm just telling you the truth, Killua." I seriously was.

"You wouldn't care if someone raped you, y/n?!" He sounded like he was between a laugh and a shocked cough.

"That's not true. I just wouldn't care if you raped me."

"WHY?!"

"Because I would expect it." If Killua were drunk of if he had gone insane, I wouldn't be surprised if he raped me. For some reason, I'd believe that he'd target me first.

"Why would you think that I'd rape you?" Killua asked, not laughing anymore.

"Alluka says you go through my part of the drawers." I reported. She had told me this a week before, snickering. I wanted to confirm it with Killua to make sure it wasn't true.

The silver haired 15-year old blushed fiercely. "Wh-what the hell?! Only Leorio would do something like that!!!"

I snapped my head towards him at the unfamiliar name. "Who?"

"Nevermind." Killua dismissed.

News about our escape must've spread like a wildfire in fast-forward mode. Aics' laboratory had been ransacked; the entire building had been destroyed. It had been reduced to complete rubble, just like the rest of Yorknew.

"Dammit!!!" Kleo yelled in anger, kicking the air violently. "Someone destroyed the lab before we could even get here!!!"

I sat on the ground with my hands on my thighs. Well, that was a lost cause. I actually thought that Aics had loved the four of us enough to let us go back into the past... But in the end, there's about 12 billion, no even more... against four. I sighed in exhaustion.

Why was Maria doing this? Doesn't she know that-

I gasped deeply, remembering the most important part. Maria doesn't know! If she keeps us, members of the past here in the future, Killua and I will never be able to even have her!! And that means she'll disappear from existence... I stood up, regaining my confidence.
