Chapter Five: Break-Ups & Parties
Friday went by quickly. I made up my work from yesterday and was caught today so I'm off the hook this weekend except for the fact that I have to work Saturday.
The rumor that Ricky and I were dating spread faster than a freaking wildfire. We've planned to break up right at the party so he could do whatever he wanted.
I got ready for the party and Ricky did the same thing. I was ready and I was sitting on the couch waiting for Ricky. He walked out and sat down next to me.
"Okay, let's get this over with," I said.
"So ready to break-up with me," he said. "Let's go."
I stood up and we headed towards the house where the party was at. We got there and we walked inside the house.
"It's not going to be some big show," I said. "We're through Ricky so go have the time of your life."
"We'll be civilized," he said and walked off. I rolled my eyes an walked into the kitchen where people were getting drinks. I fixed me a drink and made my way out to the room where the party was in full swing.
Ricky was already surrounded by girls and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
"So I'm guessing you and Ricky are over," a boy said coming up behind me. I took a sip of my drink and didn't look who it was.
"We were never really a thing," I said.
"I know that look all too well," he said. "You're jealous that you're not one of those girls over there."
"Please, I'm not jealous," I said. "I could have Ricky if I really wanted to, but I don't want him so... You know what I'm not having this conversation with you let's dance."
I swallowed the rest of my drink and set the drink down. I dragged him to the dance floor unfortunately I was right in front of Ricky and his swarm of girls.
I moved my hips to the beat. I rested my hands on his shoulders and his hands were on my hips. I spun around so my back was facing him I realized that Ricky was staring at me.
I covered his hands on my hips with mine. I wasn't going to let Ricky ruin my fun. I continued to sway my hips to the music. I looked down at the floor so I didn't have to look at Ricky.
I felt the guy's hand slide down my thighs and I grabbed his wrist pulling them away from my legs.
"Uh uh," I said in his ear turning to him. "I'm going to get another drink stay here."
I walked in the kitchen to find Ricky standing there by the counter. I didn't say anything to him and grabbed a cup from a stack.
"Having fun?" he asked.
"Yeah," I said nodding my head. He leaned on the counter and then turned to me.
"I need to try something," he said.
"What?" I asked.
He looked like he was conflicted about something and then he leaned down so that his face was closer to mine. I took a deep breath and tried to find the will to say no to him.
"Ricky," I said and I felt the hot breath on my lips. "I... We can't..."
"Just---" he started but I stopped him by smashing my lips to his. He kissed me back and pushed my back into the refrigerator. It must be the alcohol sinking in because I honestly didn't know why I was kissing him.
He placed his hands on my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. Suddenly, I was lifted off the ground and my legs were around his waist so he wouldn't have to bend down. I was starting to run out of air and I pulled away for air. His lips moved down my jaw and he kissed under my ear. I couldn't keep myself from letting the moan slip from my mouth.
