*Tatum's POV*
"Alright, call me as soon as you land. I love you," Calum pulled me closer to him, engulfing me in one of his bear hugs.
"I will. I love you."
The past two days with Calum's family was amazing. They were so sweet and made me feel like I was part of the family. Calum was so much like his parents and Mali-Koa, and I thought it was really refreshing. I love that although he is a big celebrity now, he still remains as close as ever with his family. He stays grounded and doesn't forget where he came from.
We also hung out with the boys, and I had the privilege to meet all of their parents and siblings as well, which I thought was really cool. It's so cool that the boys, even when they spend months and months together on end while on tour, still hang out on time off. They really are the best of friends, and I can tell that they truly love spending every second together.
Right now I'm at the airport with Calum, I'm going home after a short trip. I don't want to leave; I never want to leave Calum, but I have to. I have a family and friends of my own to get back to. I don't know when the next time I'll be seeing Calum is, but I know that when we see each other again, it'll be just as much fun as this time.
"I wish you could stay with me forever," he sighed, playing with my fingers.
I frowned. "I know, I wish we were able to see each other everyday."
"Too bad you're too smart to drop out of school."
"Yeah, too bad." I giggled.
"Hey, I have something for you. Another quick late Christmas gift." he said, digging his hand into his back pocket. "Close your eyes."
I did as he said and shut my eyes. After a few seconds he spoke again. "Ok, open them."
I opened my eyes and Calum was holding a ring. I gasped, "Calum-,"
"No, stop." he interrupted me. "I'm not proposing. It's, it's a promise ring." he paused, taking my hand and sliding the silver ring on my finger, it fit perfectly and looked amazing against my skin tone.
"I'm promising that someday, I will do what you thought I was just about to do, and propose. Not today, most likely not tomorrow, but someday. Because I already know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you and no one else." he paused once again and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. "I know that it's early, but I believe that when you know, you know. And I know. I know that it's you. It has been since the day we started talking, August 16th."
"I love you so much Calum. So much, my heart hurts."
"I love you so much more than you will ever know, Tatum."
