"Do you remember what you told me just one year ago?"
You sigh and stare down at the paper in front of you. It's your application for San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. You're graduating in just two weeks. With the deadline quickly approaching, you stare at the sheet of paper. "Of course I do."
"If I got in, you will, too," he says.
"You saw the crowd at the showcase," you say sadly. "I barely had eleven people there. That includes you, Hiro, Honey, Go Go, Wasabi, Fred, and Cass. Callaghan barely even glanced my way." You frown.
"I know," Tadashi says, "But think positive. You're getting in. When he did look, he seemed pretty impressed."
"Pretty impressed that I had the guts to get up there and showcase that piece of crap, maybe. You built an entire robot, Tadashi. And you got in. Sure, it needed a lot of work, but you built it."
"We built it. Remember?"
"Either way, you're the genius," you remind him.
"You're the reason I'm here right now, ___," he says. You smile. "I couldn't of come this far without you."
"I love you," you announce.
"I love you, too," he replies. "Please don't underestimate yourself. You help me in so many ways."
You shrug. "I just want you to graduate and live your dream."
"I will," he says. His eyes scan your face. He kisses you slowly. Your arms wrap around his waist as his fingers tangle in your hair. He pulls away. "I need to get back to work."
You frown. He laughs quietly, kisses you quickly, and goes back to his project. You take a seat on his office chair. "You know, I'm starting to think that you like Baymax more than you like me."
Tadashi smirks as he opens the lid to his red tool box. "I'm pretty sure I've never kissed Baymax."
"Hey, I'm not here all of the time. I never know what you do when I'm not around."
Tadashi laughs. "You don't have to worry. I can assure you that Baymax is not my type. Besides, I'm crazy in love with you."
You blush and smile. "Good. I'm crazy in love with you, too." You lean back in his chair and look around his desk. You spot the journal. "Hey, you brought it."
"Yeah. It seemed right. Besides, it makes me think of you when I look at it." He goes back to work.
"Aren't you going to continue to write in it?" you ask him.
"I wasn't planning on it."
"But what about your crazy invention ideas that pop out of your brain in the middle of the night? Where will they go?" you ask.
"On blueprints?" he says. You fall silent, the disappointment hitting you. Tadashi glances at you and smiles. "What now?"
"I thought that you were going to fill it with the stuff that you were going to accomplish," you say sadly. "That's how I thought it was going to be."
Tadashi sighs. "Fine. If you want me to write in it, I will. By the next time you visit my lab, it will be filled with stuff that I'm going to accomplish. Happy?"
"Yup," you respond. You spin in his chair. "Super happy."
He shakes his head at you. "You are such a dork," Tadashi says.
"So are you," you reply, "but that's okay. I tend to like dorks." You grin at your boyfriend and spin around again.
