Alexis' POV

SATURDAY

As I got out of bed,I stretched and made really weird noises.I was actually looking forward to today.I decided to tell my close friend Ethan that I liked him.You're probably thinking 'um,why would you do that?' or 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU WOMAN!?' .Well,I had to get this off my chest so I guess this is what I got to do.I didn't want to do it via social media,but face to face.

This is probably the bravest thing I am about to do . The butterflies in my stomach,and the eagerness really says it all.His house wasnt too far away from mine,so I decided to ride my baby blue penny board to his house.As I walked out of the door way I had a sick feeling inside my stomach.I pushed myself forward and tried to ignore it.

But it was too freaking hard!I stopped at the side,and luckily I was about 14 steps away from his house.I pushed myself forward once again and was already in front of his house.I pressed the doorbell and Mrs.Dolan answered the door."Why hello Alexis!Come in."she greeted.I heard another voice. "Mom,who's at the doo-"it wasn't Ethan but it was Grayson who had asked."uh h-hi Lex" he said awkwardly "Hey Grayson"I said with a smile."Do you know where Ethan is?"I asked shyly."Oh..He's uh,in his room"Grayson replied."Okay thanks " I said.

I went up stairs and into Ethan's room.I gave a slight knock and he told me to come in.I walked in and saw that he had been sleeping.He had drool on the corner of his mouth and bags under his eyes."sup,lex"he said in a raspy voice."H-hey Eth"I replied."look,I need to talk to you about something that I have to get off my chest right now" I said awkwardly."so do I" he said."You first"I insisted."okay,I like this girl,but I don't think she likes me back.Could you help me win her over?"he said shyly. What was I hearing?This isn't like the movies.He isn't trying to get advice from me ,for me.I wanted to cry so bad,but I just had to hold it down."uh,sure" I replied.

"Thank you so much Lex!Oh,uh what did you want to say earlier?"he said all jumpy."Uh,nevermind"I paused "It could wait." I sort of murmured."so,who's the lucky girl?" I asked pretending to care."Dakota Brooks"he said while blushing.WHAT WAS I DOING HERE? I WAS BASICALLY INVITING MYSELF TO GET STABBED WITH A KNIFE!Dakota Brooks was one of the top three MVPS for the girls basketball team at my school.It was me,Dakota,and my friend Jeanette.In my opinion,Dakota was the worst Person to be associated with.I didn't want to talk or think about this anymore,so I decided to leave"Ohh.Well looks like I gotta go,by Eth."I said with my voice cracking a bit."Bye Lex" he said.I ran down the stairs in tears hoping no one saw.I darted out the door,but was immediately stopped by someone .It was Grayson."what happened to you?"he asked sincerely.

I didn't want to look at him,but he lifted my chin up so that we were now making eye contact."was it Ethan?!What did he say to you?" he asked worryingly."just don't get mad at him okay,it wasn't his fault that I had to be so sensitive " I said sniffling."wait,did he tell you about Dakota?"he asked awkwardly."um,yeah" I said with a tear falling.He wiped away that tear with his thumb"you...like him?"he said oddly."yeah,but I don't think I'll
Like anyone or anything for the next three million days" I said sadly.
"Keep your head up princess"he said with a grin.I couldn't help,but smile back at him.
