It had been half an hour already, half of Killian's time was up. Neal had never threatened someone like this before...or at least she thought he hadn't.
Emma was still sat on the floor, she refused to take her eyes off the clock. It was like a ticking time bomb to when her life would end...would Neal really kill her?

Killian had his phone on speaker when he was taking to Neal, and David had heard the entire thing.
He was watching Killians' hands, curling into fists, tighter and tighter until his knuckles turned white.
"Hey" David said, trying to break the awkward silence. "Emma's tough, she can take care of herself."
"We have 26 minutes to get to her." He said plainly. He couldn't stop worrying about what condition Emma would be in when they got there; bruised, bleeding... dead.
He refused to let his mind get that far though.
"We can make it, I can see a shortcut on the sat-nav. It should take 25 minutes to get there and being the police, I can use the siren and get there with minutes to spare."
Killian said nothing he just nodded and took a deep breath, trying to control his temper. They'd be there soon. They would be with Emma.

"Five more minutes!" Neal whispered into Emma's ear, as he tapped his wrist where a watch should be.
Emma swallowed. Uncomfortable with how close he was standing. Where was Killian? She was starting to lose hope. She shuffled about on the floor and remembered the broken piece of mug in the back of her jeans.
Wait until the last minute, she thought, whether Killian came or not...wait until the last minute.
Neal was giving her a strange look from the corner of his eyes. Did he know what she had planned? Did he-
Emma thoughts were interrupted when the front door burst open to reveal Killian stomping towards Neal. Her heart finally relaxed at the sight of him, this was her chance. The last minute where she had to escape.
As soon as Neal was distracted watching Killian-it was only for a second-she whipped the piece of china from her jeans and ran straight for Neal's his stomach.
She didn't want to hurt him but if this was her way out, she had no choice. She held the shard out in front of her and charged towards him. She could barely look, she didn't want to watch herself hurt him... But it didn't matter anyway.
Without looking, she felt the shard in her hand pierce flesh and a gasp of his breath. Knowing that she had definitely done some damage, she slowly opened her eyes, not wanting to see all the blood.
"Emma, what have you done?" Neal's voice didn't sound in pain at all, in fact she could hear the smile on his face.
She looked up at him. No blood.
She heard a sort of grunt beside her and turned to Killian who was clutching his stomach in pain.
"No." She whispered.
Neal had dragged Killian in front of him at the last second and she had...she...
Emma felt her heart exploding in her chest. What had she done? Killian began to fall to the floor and she grabbed him to help him get down easier. A single tear rolled down her cheek as she watched him in pain.
"Oh my god. Killian, just...just stay still." She could barely talk, now she was really crying. "Keep pressure on it." She sniffed her runny nose and wiped her eyes, trying to pull herself together.
Emma didn't know what to do, for the first time in her life, she just regretted everything. She wished she never met Neal, she wished she had never shouted at Killian, and she wished she could help him now.
"No, no, no. Keep looking at me. Keep your eyes open, Okay!" She could see him drifting, drifting to a different place without her. She couldn't lose him, not now.
"Hey, com' on, you need to stay awake, remember your boat! Yeah, we still need to travel the world together." She sniffed again. "Just you and me."
"Emma." Killian's hand left his wound and grabbed Emma's wrist, getting blood on her. "I'm sorry i opened your letter, I should of respected your...privacy."
Emma was crying uncontrollably now. "No don't apologise! I'm sorry I shouted at you. It just made me more mad and now..." She glanced down at his stomach and then back to his half-shut eyes. "This is all my fault."
"Yes, Emma. It is!" She had forgotten Neal was still there. And suddenly her sadness became anger. She stroked Killian's face as to say 'just hold on' and stood up to face Neal.
"Why are you doing this! What do you want!?" Emma was out of control, her tears stopped her from talking but she still managed to yell at Neal.
"Don't shout at me Emma. I want you, and now that Killian's...well, dying, we can be together.
Emma gave him the ugliest look she could. "You really think after everything you've done I would want to be with you?" She crouched back down I front of Killian and wiped his face, dripping with sweat.

Killian had told David to stay in the car and wait for a signal if he need help. In the mean time he had called for backup just incase this Neal guy was too much to handle.
He couldn't hear much but he kept his eyes on the Windows, waiting for Killian's signal. All he could see was their silhouettes moving about until he heard a strange thud. He slid the window down to get a better look. Someone was just stood there, looking down at something...maybe someone.
It stayed silent for a little while longer until he could here the faint sound of someone yelling. A woman, probably Emma. "Why are you doing this! What do you want!?"
That was good enough for him. Maybe Killian was hurt and wasn't able to give him the signal. David grabbed his gun and move from the car.
****
"Just hold on Killian." She told him as if that would make him feel better. "Now give me the phone, he needs an ambulance."
"Why should I?" He sounded offended. " so they can save him and you can run back into his arms?"
In Emma's head that sounded perfect...not perfect but what needed to happen.
"I don't think so! Your mine"
I'm not a piece of property you can claim!"
"You think-"
Before Neal could finish, David came rushing in holding up his gun. " Neal Cassidy, step away from a her and put your hands up!" He demanded. Backup hadn't arrived yet but he couldn't let his friends get hurt.
Emma sighed with relief. Help was on the way. And they'd be safe.

An hour later, Neal was being placed into the back of a police car by all the police men that finally showed up. Emma sat beside Killian in the back of an ambulance, she lay her head on his shoulder, trying not to do anymore damage to his wound than she already had.
