Make sure your title is interesting and will make readers question what the story is about. But remember to keep it on the topic of the story
Description:
Make an interesting description that will draw people into the book. Most descriptions end with a cliff hanger question.
Genre:
Make sure the genre of the book is one you are comfortable writing with. Otherwise the book can turn out bad. Main genres include: Narrative Nonfiction, Essays, Biography, Autobiography, Speech, Nonfiction, Drama, Poetry, Fantasy, Comedy, Fable, Science Fiction, Short Story, Realistic Fiction, Folklore, Historical Fiction, Horror, Tall Tale, Legend, Mystery, Mythology, and Fiction.
-Narrative Nonfiction
Narrative nonfiction is information based on facts.
-Essays
A summary of the author's point of view or outlook on a subject or theme.
-Biography
The history of a person's life written by another person.
-Autobiography
A history of a person's life written by the same person.
-Speech
A speech is the power of speaking (like an oral report).
-Nonfiction
A literature story based on real life events and facts.
-Drama
Drama is the story of dramatic arts.
-Poetry
A form of story often written in a lyric form. There are different types of poetry such as haiku, free verse, sonnets, name, lyric, concrete, etc.
-Fantasy
Fantasy contains the thought of mental images with odd or otherworldly characters and or settings.
-Comedy
Comedy stories allow the reader to find something funny or interesting.
-Fable
A fable is about extraordinary or unusual people and or animals that conduct a universal theme.
-Science Fiction
A story based on the impact of science.
-Short Story
A short story is a short fiction story that it's briefness is so quick that it is not able to conduct subplots.
-Realistic Fiction
Realistic fiction is a story of fiction but could actually happen in the real world.
-Folklore
Folklore are songs, stories, or myths that prevail the work "folk" and were passed down by mouth.
-Historical Fiction
Historical Fiction is a story of fiction composed within historical events.
-Horror
Horror is a story composed of frightfully shocking or revolting events that cause an overwhelming or painful feeling.
-Tall Tale
A hilarious story with large character exaggeration which compose the character to create or do the impossible.
-Legend
A legend uses a worldwide known or folk hero that goes on adventures. These are based on facts but are exaggerated with imaginative material.
-Mystery
Mystery is a story that is composed of suspense of a crime or other activity.
-Mythology
Based on a traditional narrative or legend. Sometimes based on facts of human behavior and natural phenomena translated into symbolism of an object or mythical creature.
-Fiction
Fiction is a story that is produced by the imagination and is not necessarily true. Most of the time it is a made-up story.
