" What? When?! " I screamed at him, throwing my shoes away from my feet.

" Probably any minute now. I don't know, he didn't say exactly when.." He said, rubbing his chin with his left hand.

" Fuck. " I mumbled, as I spun myself around the handrail and ran upstairs.

I flew the door open, and rushed directly in my bathroom to take a shower. Once I was done with the quick shower, I blow dried my hair as fast as I could, and got dressed in some jeans and a T-shirt. Casual. I was mad at myself for doing what I did last night. I felt ashamed of myself for not sticking to my decision. I didn't drink, I didn't do any of that! Part of me was blaming Tyler for all of this. It's like in just one night, he managed to play with my mind and my feelings.

I ran downstairs, looking around, making sure my dad wasn't home yet. Who in the world decides to fly across the country in one night?! I threw myself on the couch, feeling my heart beat faster from all the running. Okay, maybe I was a little nervous too.

My father, Richard Morgan was one of the most successful businessmen in the US. After my mom died in a car accident, my dad raised us alone. Well, kinda. Ever since we lost our mom, he's been mostly away. Our nanny Betty raised us, always being there for us, so she was practically family. At times I was mad at my dad for not being here, for always being away. I missed him. He wasn't always like this. But something changed, and a lot of times I tried asking him, but that was a forbidden subject. Sometimes I felt lonely, empty inside. I was 6 when I lost my mom, and I missed her more than anyone. Even though everyone said I was daddy's little princess, they didn't know the truth. They didn't know that I spent most of the days in my room alone, crying. The only thing I had left from my mom was her necklace that she gave me the day before she died. I never took it off.

Trying to come up with a story about last night, I stared blankly at the TV. Brandon was acting like a lunatic, telling all the servants what to do and how to cook. I saw Matt walking downstairs, with a messy hair, looking like he just woke up. And, yeah, he just woke up. I looked at my phone, checking the time. 1:43 pm.

" Well, good afternoon sleeping beauty. " I teased. He threw a slipper at me, looking desperate.

" Why did you wake me up so early? It's Saturday." He said with a husky voice, sitting on the couch next to me.

" Dad's on his way home. " I mumbled, not taking my eyes off the TV, while stuffing my mouth with one of the starters that were set on the small table in front of me.

He looked at me confused, as he went on. " Why? " Wow he sure as hell took it better than I did.

I started spitting the disgusting piece of "food" in my hand. What the hell is this? It was awful. I quickly got up from the couch and ran to the sink.

" Because it's been 3 months and he probably wants to come home. Or he has another meeting. " I heard Brandon say from somewhere in the room.

I lifted my head and took a glass of water to wash the awful taste away. " Ugh, what the hell is that? " I said, still with the same disgust expression on my face. I saw Matt make the same face while looking at the tray of food.

" It's sushi. And it's not for you." Brandon mumbled, now getting out of the room.

Suddenly, I heard the doorbell ring. Matt stood up quickly, looking at me, while I left the glass on the counter and headed towards the door. Brandon was there before me, already opening the door.

" Brandon. " I heard my dad's deep voice filled with excitement. I couldn't quite see him though.

" Dad.." He said quietly, and they hugged tightly. " Men".

They both pulled away, as my dad's eyes landed on me. " Ali! Princess! " He said happily, walking towards me. I smiled at him, my eyes getting watery. I don't know if it was because I was happy, or if he just reminded me of what I used to have. A family.

He gave me a tight hug too, almost lifting me from the ground. From behind his shoulder, I saw two large men getting in, dressed in black suits. My dads bodyguards.

I pulled away slowly, giving him the space to say 'hi' to Matt. Watching my dad hug Matt like that, made me feel like there was a hard stone in my chest. Matt was too young for all of this. He was only 2 when my mom died. He probably didn't even remember her.

Wiping away a few tears, we all walked in the living room. Right across it, there was the big kitchen and the dining room. We all first sat in the living room, and after catching up, we moved to the big dining table.

" I know you all think you're grown up and everything, but I still see you as little kids. " He said, picking up his glass of white wine and slowly starting to drink from it.

Silent filled the room. He was saying all these " concerned father" things, when we all knew exactly how "concerned" he was.

" Enough about us dad. How's LA? " I said suddenly, breaking the awkward silence.

" Tiring. I was there a million times, and not once I had the chance to get a city tour and relax. " He said, letting out a small sigh. " Oh, before I forget, we're having guests tonight... "

We all widen our eyes, surprised. Guests?! The first day he's here, we're having guests?

" Actually it's more of a small meeting. My good friend Robert Adams and his son will be joining us for dinner tonight.." He said calmed, while cutting the food in his plate.

I almost choked on my drink when I heard him say " Adams". Feeling my blood boil in my veins, I instantly lost my appetite. Putting down the fork, I accidentally smashed it on the plate, making a loud noise. They all looked at me, of course not knowing why I looked so upset.

" Umm, sorry, I just lost my appetite. " I said quietly, my voice shaky. I noticed Matt giving me a questionable look, rising his eyebrow, while Brandon was frowning.

This is as good as it can get.

" Wait. Tyler's coming for dinner at your place? Why? " Liv asked confused over the phone. I didn't tell her about this morning, and I was just hoping that Tyler won't tell anyone either. Now, knowing that our parents are business partners, made things even more complicated. I was planning on talking to him when he gets here.

" Some kind of a stupid dinner meeting, i think " I said, holding the phone with my shoulder, while putting on my shoes. For the dinner I picked out a pale blue dress, going down above my knees, and some cute high heel sandals to go with it. My hair was half wavy- half straight, as always, and my makeup was on the minimum.

I heard a knock on my door. " Hold on a second." I mumbled quietly to Liv, and then yelled to whoever it was to get in.

" Alex... ? Where are you? " I heard Brandon murmur from my room.

" In here! " I yelled once again, holding my phone tight to my shoulder.

He walked in slowly, looking around, with his hands in his pockets. " Dad asked if you were ready. The guests will be here any minute now."

" I'll call you back. " I said to Liv, leaving my phone on the small glass table next to me. " Yeah, I'll be down in a minute. " I said, not taking my eyes off my shoes, still struggling with the thin belts.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Brandon leaving my room, closing the door behind him.

My head was still pounding a little from last night. I leaned back on the chair, taking a deep breath. I kept thinking the same thing. Tyler.

" You're already mine Alex. I own you because I know how to get what I want, and I don't take no as an answer."

Those words were the only thing crossing my mind, repeatedly, along with millions of questions. I sat there, staring blankly in front of me. 'Why me?' was the main question in my head. Just thinking about what happened in just one night, the kiss, waking up in his bedroom... The bite mark!

I suddenly remembered that he made me a hickey. Quickly, I stood up, rushing towards the few scarfs I had. I didn't wear much scarfs. I pulled one out, that went perfectly with my dress- white, silky and thin. I looked at the mirror, hoping that I won't need the scarf, but the mark was dark red, really noticeable. I wrapped the scarf around my neck, suddenly hearing the bell ring, making me jump a little bit.

Getting out of my room, I couldn't really run downstairs as always, cause I was wearing high heels. I walked carefully, making sure I don't trip and tumble down the stairs. As soon as I was down, I could see a tall, handsome man, with a dark brown hair- similar to my dads, dressed in a black suit. Probably Tyler's father. Right after him, Tyler entered, his hair now not that messy, also dressed in a black suit, making him look like a god.

My dad was welcoming both of them kindly, while introducing my brothers to them. They all saw me walking towards them, making me feel nervous from all the stares. Especially Tyler's.

" Robert, this is my daughter, Alexa. " My dad said with a soft voice as he went on. " Ali, this is my dear friend Robert, and his son, Tyler. " Putting on a fake smile, I reached out my hand, slowly shaking it with Tyler's dad. After we pulled away, I did the same thing with Tyler, making sure to act like I never saw him before in my life. But instead of shaking my hand, he gently took my it, and kissed it slowly, instantly giving me chills down my spine. He was acting like such a gentleman.

I squeezed my eyes a little, trying to figure out what he's up to, but he just pursed his mouth in a self - satisfied smirk. We all walked in the dining room, once again sitting on the large- already set- table.

About an hour later.

The dinner was going fine, so far. My dad was talking to Robert- some business crap, and from time to time they asked us something, breaking the awkward silence between us. Tyler didn't say a word to me this whole dinner, just looked at me every once in a while, making me feel uncomfortable inside.

"... You know, a few days ago, I read a book called 'Sybil'. Honestly it gave me a lot of inspiration in this whole project situation.." Robert said, taking a small piece of his desert on his fork.

" By Benjamin Disraeli? I read it once.." I blabbed quickly, interrupting. The words came rushing trough my mouth, before I could register what I was doing. I felt my cheeks heat up from embarrassment, feeling stupid for interrupting like that. All of their attention was on me, Brandon shocked the most. He was the oldest and the smartest child. With other words, a nerd. I've read that book a few times, but honestly it was pretty boring. I just liked the many quotes in it.

" Oh really? Can I hear you opinion on it?" Robert asked me, sounding like a curious teacher. I didn't really want to answer, but since I stupid enough to talk at the first place, I kinda had to.

" Well, uhm, for that kind of genre, I think it's well politically written." I went on. " Personally, I think Disraeli was interested in dealing with the horrific conditions in which the majority of England's working classes lived, at those days. " I gave him a long diplomatic answer, honestly, surprising myself. Not knowing what to do, or say next, I picked up my glass and took a few gulps. I hated when I was in the center of attention.

He widen his eyes, slowly nodding his head. " Wow, very mature for your age, I must say. You should be proud, Rich. "

I saw my dad smiling proudly from across the table. " I am. " He said, probably still surprised. I was always the one getting into trouble when I was in high school. Everyone saying that I was a rebel, but honestly, I just wanted to be left alone. Just because my dad's a big deal in the business world, doesn't mean that I need all the attention.

" I actually would love to read it. Do you have it, Alexa? " I heard Tyler's deep voice, for the first time this evening. I looked at him confused, but he just smiled softly, still expecting an answer.

" Yeah, I have it. " I answered, of course annoyed from his stupid question.

After a few seconds, I heard my dad saying that we should move to the living room, if we all finished our deserts. Getting up, we all went in the living room, but before we could sit down, Tyler's dad got a text, and said that something came up and that they had to leave.

" Oh, well before you go, I need to give you some papers." Dad said, starting to walk towards his office, while Robert nodded and started following him. " And Ali, go get Tyler the book before they leave. " He added.

I looked at my dad, surprised, and then just turn around, walking upstairs. " I actually need use the bathroom . Where is it?" I heard Tyler ask from behind, and then Matt gave him short directions. He started following me upstairs, and I knew that "the bathroom" was just an excuse. I freaked inside, wondering what I'll say to him when we're alone.

I opened the door to my room, rushing to my night stand to get the book, as I turned on one of the lambs. Turning around, I saw Tyler walking in and closing the door behind him. We were now alone, in a dimly lit room, staring at each other.

" You didn't really think I actually came here for the book, did you? " He said seriously, walking towards me. We were now only a foot away from each other. " Alex, we need to talk. " He added.

I let out a small sigh before I started talking. " Yeah, I know. " I muttered, putting down the book.

After a minute he started talking. " Because of them..The partnership..friendship..." He tried saying something, but I couldn't quite connect all the words together. He seemed like he was upset, at the same time speechless. I think I knew what he was trying to say. He wanted to tell me that because of what our family's have together- the whole partnership thing, was making us impossible. I already knew that though.

I saw him slowly looking up and down me. The same way he looked at me last night, before he kissed me. " Fuck it.." He mumbled slowly, and in one sudden move, he crossed the small space between us, crashing his soft lips on mine. I gasped against his lips, giving him more entrance, and then responded within seconds, not feeling a single peace of guiltiness in my heart. The only thing I felt right now, was him. His lips, his touch, making me drown into the moment. My mind was much clearer now, and I didn't want it to stop. And I don't know why.

He grabbed both of my hands, pushing me against the wall. Holding my hands tightly pinned on the wall, I felt his pressure on my hips, not letting me escape. This time, it was different. The kiss was hard, hungry, like he was holding it back slightly before, but now letting it all out. He clearly showed his domination, exploring every single inch of my mouth with his tongue. The feeling was indescribable. No one I have ever kissed before made me feel this way. This special.

Suddenly, he pulled away, both of us catching our breaths, still just few inches away from each other. I saw frustration in his eyes, anger. Like he wanted something, but couldn't have it.

I bit my lips, leaning my head on the wall behind me. " We can't.." I whispered, knowing exactly why. If something happened between us, and then ended, it could effect our families. My father had a strict rule of us not getting involved with his clients, especially these kinds of clients.

Tyler just shook his head slowly, letting out an upset sigh. Holding himself with his left hand, he harshly banged his other fist on the wall behind me, letting out his anger. I jumped a little bit, closing my eyes. I felt him pull away. Opening my eyes, I saw him walking backwards, slowly, still not taking his eyes off me.

" You should stay away from me for a while..." He said quietly, his voice shaky, barely above a whisper, and then just left the room.

I just stood there, frozen, not knowing how to explain to myself what happened. He made me feel like I was floating, no words could describe it. Why? I met him last night, and he already managed to have this kind of an effect on me.

But he was right. This couldn't go on. It was just one of the many forbidden stuff in my life.
