"Get back here you little street urchin!"
The Baker yelled angrily for the inspector. I ran down the street looking for a place to hide. Suddenly, when I wasn't paying attention I ran into someone.
"Hey!"
I looked up to see a boy, not much older than me. He had dark blonde hair that sat in a tangled mess on top of his head. His blue eyes stood out amongst his dirt covered face.
"where are you goin in such a hurry?" he asked. he looked behind me and nodded. "Ah, you got yourself caught in with the inspector. You got a place to lsleep tonight?" I shook my head and he smiled. "Come on, follow me." He stood up and took off. I got up and followed him. He hopped onto the back of a carriage as it rode down the street. he held his hand out to me and helped me climb up next to him.
"I don't think we were properly introduced. I'm Gavroche. " the boy said.
"I'm Évolié"
A large crowd was gathered in front of General Lamark's house.
"Whats going on?" I asked. Gavroche looked at me and smiled.
"Its the revolution" he replied with a childish grin.
