...I craned my neck to look back at Xander for a brief moment. He was so different when we were alone. Why was he jumping between hot and cold?...

After school, we went to Blythe's house as planned. Adam was carrying 3 boxes of pizza we bought on the way. He was adamant to cover the bill but I insisted on paying my half. In the end, I paid for all of it. Adam grumbled something about stupid and pride but I decided to let it slide, knowing I scratched his big male ego.

"Next time, I'm going to leave you in the car." Adam said, still upset. I shrugged while I knocked on the door.

The door opened, revealing a ginning Blythe in her blue star studded pajamas. Her hair was bundled in a loose messy bun and she was just radiant.

"Come in." Blythe said, pulling us inside. She closed the door then led us to the living room where we found Tala, Kurt and Randall huddling over a stack of CDs and DVDs.

"She looked so much better already." Adam whispered.

"We're watching Terminator Salvation." Kurt piped.

"NO!" Tala protested. She glared poisonously at Kurt who glared as viciously back at her. "It's Letters to Juliet."

"Yucks! You'll just ogle over that blonde dude." Kurt said, clearly disgusted.

"You're just irked that he's hot and you're not."

"I'm hot as hell."

"Says who? You're mom."

"Yeah!"

Tala grinned, smugly.

"N-no. I mean... yeah-" Kurt spluttered. Tala's smile got even smugger if that was even possible. Kurt wiped his face, frustrated. "We are not watching another chick flick movie!"

We burst laughing and Kurt blushed fiercely.

"Screw you all." Kurt mumbled. At this, Tala and Adam guffawed and Kurt pouted like a five year old.

I decided to give him mercy and salvage what was left of his dignity.

"That's enough teasing, both of you." I said, taking one of the DVD that piquet my interest. "The two clumped down their mouth, albeit I could still hear bouts of snickering from them. "I think this would be perfect." I flipped it so they can see my choice. It was the Lightning Thief. Everyone agreed. Blythe took the DVD to set it up.

I leaned closer to Kurt and said softly. "For whatever it's worth-" Kurt looked at me. "-I think you're hot as hell."

Kurt blushed even more like a ripe tomato. I straightened up and ruffled his hair. Adam took out the pizza. While Randall begun to pass around the soda. I took a seat at the center of the sofa. Adam flopped on my right and Blythe took my left. Kurt and Tala didn't move back so they could lean on me and Blythe. Randall sat on the chair Blythe usually occupied.

Everyone was mostly quiet, except for the occasional awe and gasp. It turned out it was their first time to watch the movie which was ridiculous because it was quite good. I watched the film for dozens of times with my mom.

Instead of watching the film, I decided to observe my friends. They had changed so much. There was dull throbbing at the back of my head but I felt no pain. I didn't even notice it up until the memory recall begun.

The Sylvan forest was dark from the ominous clouds, promising torrential rain soon. Randall and Adam carried two heavy back packs while Blythe and Tala had lighter and smaller ones. I couldn't see what I had but I know it was small and light as well and I was holding a first aid kit.
