As I was about to head home, someone caught my eyes. Someone I thought I knew, but maybe that was just me being tired from a busy day. While I shrugged it off, I stopped again and thought for a while. There was just something about him that seems really familiar and really odd at the exact same time. Then again, I wasn't really sure at all.

The tall figure was sitting down, his brown hair slightly covering almost half of his forehead. The way he smiled at what looked like a letter somehow made my heart flutter yet there was a slight, aching pain.

Who are you?

The letter seemed to be written sloppily, yet so recognizable. The crumpled piece of paper was old; I could tell. The more I looked at him, the more his smile became painful.

I just stood there, trying to figure out why there was so much aching, so much that felt weakened. Maybe if I stare at him for a while longer, my brain could process everything. But the thing was, I could only see his side view.

Just as I squinted my eyes a little, he stood up, scaring me half to death. The movement caused him to notice me. He tilts his head a little, confused at my sudden action.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

I swear to god I'm not a stalker. Okay maybe a little but-

I quickly turned my head away from him and scurried away. As I hurriedly walked, I couldn't help but stare down, hiding my embarrassment from him. Strands of hair falls onto my face as I took a little glance at him. The end of his mouth seems to perk up.

By the time I got home, I instantly turned on the AC and closed all the windows that were left open this morning. For another minute or so, I had a sudden urge to just fall onto the couch and to never wake up, ever again.

That was the most exercise I've gotten in a long time. I didn't realizing stalking was such an active sport.

The thought of the brown haired guy at the park couldn't leave my mind. Suddenly remembering his little scoff, I scoffed myself. I knew him from somewhere. "Where do I know him from?" I asked myself quietly.

The quietness in the little apartment gave me a sudden shiver down my spine. I got scared by my own stomach, which had an urge to suddenly rumble in the middle of me thinking. Great.

As I quickly hunted for food, I found nothing. I stopped in the middle of the small, tidy kitchen, remembering that it's been days since I've actually went out and bought groceries.

I sighed heavily and dragged my two foot to my room. The lights weren't even on anymore. Just the thought of not being able to have food made me depressed. "Can I just die?" I asked myself as I flounced onto the bed.

Just as my eyes began to close, the sound of a single ring vibrates a little. Even if my eyes were closed shut, I could see the light that had flashed on. Please let it be Yooyoung.

Slowly opening my eyes, I grabbed my phone and turned it on. I looked at the screen for the longest time, yet I didn't know how to react. I felt a sudden breeze blow across me, giving me chills up and down my whole body. Has it been that long already?

By that time, I suddenly got up from the bed and gradually walked over to the small closet, turning on the light. I took a moment, scared and afraid of what I'll find. It's been so long since I've seen this thing. The little brown, and old book that I now hold in my hands.

I quickly avert from the book and glanced towards the door that was being knocked. Standing up, I gingerly lay the book down on my bed before opening the front door. Yooyoung appeared in front of me with a bag full of what smelled like food. "I thought you'd be hungry." She smiled over at me, making me smile myself.

"You're the best, thanks." I closed the door behind her as she entered my apartment. Quickly, she turned on the TV and sat on the couch comfortably. "What'd you get?" I asked eagerly, running my ass to the couch before she ate it all.

"H-hey turn on the TV first! Running Man is going to be on!" She exclaimed as she lifted the bag away from me. I pouted a little and then took the remote, turning on the TV. "Oh yea, my mom made your favorite. I don't get why she always makes kimbap for you and not for me. She's so biased." Yooyoung scoffs at the statement she made but ended up smiling at the end when she pulled out the lunchbox from the bag.

"It's because she loves me, alright?" I said, teasing her a little. As I grabbed a piece of kimbap she lightly slapped my hands away. "It's just one okay? One won't hurt you."

She frowns, "I wanted the first bite."

"Shhh, it's starting." I said and took a bite into the kimbap. "Oh my gosh, it's delicious."

"No!" She said sarcastically. "It's horrible!" She rolled her eyes and started to laugh when you slightly push her.

"Shut up and stop being smart with me." I began to laugh a little.

"You're the one who needs to shut up." She replied back. "I'm actually-"

I threw a pillow at her, trying not to laugh again.

The thing about her was that she was real. She was the only friend I had. No, the only one who I could trust. Ever since that day in the hospital, she stood by me when no one else did. She was like a sister I never had. Because of what happened, her family treated me like family.

As the sky became darker, Yooyoung became fast asleep on the couch. I went to my room and grabbed a blanket for her to warm up in. Deciding whether or not to stay awake and watch some more, I turned off the TV and went to my room.

When lied down, I felt something. It was the book I previously took before Yooyoung interrupted. I swiftly went and turned on the lamp and sat on my bed, comfortably. I procrastinated a bit before opening the book. What was I afraid of anyways?

Without hesitation, I opened to the first page. An unexpected and sudden smile came across my face. The picture of a little girl who looked happy with her mother and father by her side. She seemed to be enjoying that very moment as she swung. She, who once had a family. What went so wrong?

My emotions were all over the place. I couldn't suppress the tears that falling quickly and onto the pieces of paper. For a moment I looked up, hoping the tears would stop but it wouldn't. Giving up, I quickly whipped my tears from my shirt and continued.

Flipping to the next page ahead, I saw the little girl with her smile again. Instead of being with her parents, she was with this little boy. His smile spread across his face as both of them look at the camera. I couldn't help but smile at that. It was unfortunate that I couldn't remember any of these.
