I Don't...

A silent fleet

Of my heart flutters by

Alas should I tell you

And let your fleeting heart die?

Alas ye sleep

Yet feelings still lay deep

The past's oceans of emotions

Thy abyss of mind

shall'st keep.

Truly you have seen

The twinkle long gone from my eyes

A weary, silent, gray, dull look

Is what you now will find

Can I bare to see it

You soul crack and shatter

Can I really, truly say

Your feelings did not matter?

I thought that my heart

Was iron wrought

When It was your affections that I sought

My lies did your soul hast bought

Very well I shall leave your soul distraught

I'm sorry

Please don't take the knife

I did not mean to cause you strife

Don't plunge it deep in your soul

Just for one lie I believed and told.
