HAVE I mentioned how much I enjoy parodies of works that I respect and admire?
Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery?
My favourite Elvis Presley song is "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" most likely because of the parallels that Elvis draws between his failed love affair and the theatre. The title was also a tribute to the titles that the Romantic poets sometimes used whenever the poem they were writing touched upon a subject or made reference to something another poet had produced.
'Nuff said? (And yes, dear reader, that phrase is a purposeful nod to Mr. Stan Lee, creator of Spider-Man and the first writer whose own great stories inspired me to want to tell my own tales of imagination)
