They seem to get better with every part don't they? Also, did anyone else catch the first hint of Zalfie in the previous chapter? It's slowly developing...Anyway, back to Alfie. Enjoy!
What a weird occurrence! The waitress that me and Zoe had for lunch said that we were such a cute couple. Like how even? I had barely known her like twenty four hours and we were already getting assumptions for these sorts of things. Like we didn't like each other in that way, right? I mean, I don't think I do or she does with me. Yet anyway. I could tell by the look on Zoe's face that she was embarrassed. If only I didn't spill my drink to begin with...
Anyway, after that minor day stumble, we finished up eating what we got and then we left. I told Zoe it was on me and she gave in...after about twenty minutes. Was I allowed to be a gentleman or something? Did I miss a memo or something? "This hereby states Alfie Deyes is not allowed to be a gentleman."? I say otherwise!
We got to outside the restaurant when I turned to Zoe and said, "So what meetups have you got today then? I was thinking of just catching some time by the pool since today is the quiet day at Vidcon."
She shrugged her shoulders, "Not sure. I think it was the only one I did with Louise this morning and that's when I went to meet you for what we just did. Other than that, I could walk around the place for a bit which I don't really want to do since I'll be on my own, my room to be unsociable or the pool."
I chuckled, "What window then is it milady? 1, 2 or 3?" That caused her to laugh. She had a cute laugh not gonna lie...
After a few seconds of thinking, she made up her mind, smiled and said, "You know what? I'll spend the day with you Mr Deyes. I'll go to the pool." I think that was the answer I was looking for. I wanted to learn a bit more about this mysterious girl I met at a party. I can't believe I just thought that.
"Cool, nice to know you'll be joining me, little one." I said. Did I just call her little one?! Thank goodness this conversation is ending soon so I can slap my mind multiple times until it works properly, "What room are you in? We could walk together down there after we get sorted. Mine's 226 if you beat me to it."
"Weirdly enough, I'm in 220 so we're down the same corridor. Say, be ready in like, ten minutes?" she said, thinking she would be ready first.
I accepted the challenge. "Game on, Sugg." I said, rushing off to my room and beating her to the stairs.
After about a minute, I had reached my room. Marcus was at the convention so wasn't in the room. I begin to hunt around, looking for my swimwear. I couldn't remember where I had put them and it was starting to annoy me. That's when I realised I haven't used it yet and it was most likely still in my suitcase. I opened it and what do you know? They're in there.
I hurried to get changed and was checking to see if I was missing anything else. What exactly did I need? I had my shorts, my towel, my sunglasses, my suncream and a t-shirt. What flipping else?
That was when there a knock at the door. Damn, she beat me to it. I sighed and went to the door. When I opened the door, Zoe was standing there in a black bikini and had a towel in her hand with her sunglasses on her head. She looked drop dead amazing. Alfie, stop man! She'll think you're nuts!
"I win." She said triumphantly in which I shook my head.
"Yeah, I suppose you did. Well done." I replied, disappointed to lose such a simple challenge like that. I collected my things and went back to the door.
When I got there, she said, "That's what you get for calling me just Sugg." I laughed at her comment before she spoke again, "But I did like little one though." Oh no, she heard me say that beforehand. Well, at least she didn't mind it.
I closed the door to my room and we both walked down the corridor together to the pool. I could tell this afternoon was going to be a lot of fun.
A bit shorter from my previous chapter but I think it still went well. What did you think? Let us know!
