Prompt: I Wouldn't Mind by He is We
(I would like to say that just this song makes me cry. I cried writing this too. I haven't combined the two yet but I can only imagine how hard I'll be sobbing.)
"Dipper..." I remembered everything we went through together. I knew what my answer had to be. It was clear.
We were standing in the forest and it was raining. "The fun doesn't have to end just because the sun isn't out." He said with a soft smile on his face. He took my hand and we danced in the rain together.
"My hair is getting wet!" I had complained. He pulled me close to him and rested his forehead on mine. My arms found their way around his neck just as his found their way on my waist.
"And yet you're still the most beautiful thing I see. How's that possible?" He whispered softly. He grinned and started humming a song I didn't recognize then. Only now was it clear what he was humming.
Forever... Forever with him? The answer was right in my face. I wasn't afraid anymore. Not like I used to be before I met him. I would stay by his side. I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my eternal life with him.
We were in the forest but it changed. I was engulfed in blue flames and several feet away from him and his tear-streaked face.
"You're a demon! I know that! But you don't have to do this, Bill!! You don't have to be like the rest of them. Just be Bill. The sweet and charming Bill Cipher that I know and love! You don't have to be like other demons!" He shouted to me.
"D-dipper?" My eyes opened and I saw him. The flames died down slowly as I floated to the ground. "I don't?"
"No! You don't! Why would you want to be like them? Why would you want to destroy this place?" He smiled softly and held out his hand. I hesitated for a moment but graciously took his hand.
"I don't have to be like them. Thank you for helping me realize that." I felt a weight on my chest disappear. He set me free.
He set me free that day. He opened my eyes and set my heart free. He helped me realize that I could be whatever I wanted.
All our best moments seemed to be in that forest. That would explain a lot, wouldn't it? Here we were, happily sitting in the forest and looking up at the stars.
"Your eyes remind me of stars. The way they sparkle, the beautiful golden color, their beauty. I've never seen eyes quite like yours. I've never met someone quite like you." He turned me to face him and placed a kiss on my lips. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Every single word he spoke to me, I drank it up. It made me happy and I let it fill me. His words, no, he made me feel complete. To spend forever with him would be a blessing. Forever is such a long time. Thank god if I could spend it with him. I certainly would. I wanted to be with him so badly. To be with him as long as we live. He was human and I was a demon. I'd give him immortality if he wanted it. I just wanna be with him.
This time, we were in his bed. I had woken up to see his beautiful smiling face. He looked so angelic, sleeping peacefully with that beautiful smile. I wouldn't mind waking up like this for the rest of my life. Getting up every day and seeing this. I wouldn't mind it at all. My breath hitched for a moment as he opened his eyes. "Like what you see?" He chuckled.
"You know it." I smiled. " This is too perfect to be real. I hope this isn't a dream."
"Let me pinch you to check." Dipper grinned and pinched my side gently, causing me to giggle.
Forever is such a long time. I was not afraid to do whatever it takes to be able to spend it with Dipper. He set me free. He loved me like no one else ever had or even could and I did the same. I wouldn't mind spending forever with him. And waking up to that smile would make me so happy. I wouldn't mind.
"Yes. I'll marry you, Dipper Pines." I said finally. Dipper's eyes filled with tears as he pulled me in for a long passionate kiss.
"I love you so much, Bill."
"I love you so much too, Dipper."
