Found face down in a pool of blood that belonged to her.
Turned her over.
The smell of death hovered.
Vitals fading fast.
The police detective looked in her face.
Her last bit of strength shocked him.
She grabbed his lapel with a vise grip.
Pulled his ear to her mouth.
"Find the other woman."
He pried her fingers from his jacket.
Her words had a powerful impact on him.
"I will. I promise." He said sadly to the person who was gone.
